Well this looks like a two person match, Holzhauer and Jennings are both lights out while my pick Brad just doesn’t have it, and not just cause of buzzer speed, he is getting things wrong all over the place

Re: Jeopardy Greatest of All Time Tournament
Ken already participates as a regular expert on Best Ever Trivia Show (GSN). The game show is being renamed in season two later this year to "Master Minds."
Not saying he wouldn't make a good host of Jeopardy!, but he is returning to Master Minds this year.

Exciting finish! I was caught off guard by Ken betting 0 despite it seeming like he was the overall leader, because they could only bet their game 2 totals Holzhauer would’ve won no matter what if he got it right.

Re: Jeopardy!
Instead of creating another Jeopardy! thread that may only get a few posts, I change from the Greatest of All Time Tournament to just a general thread if that's okay.
I'm bumping it because this year's Tournament of Champions will be one to watch later this year. In a very rare occurrence (first time ever, I think), there will be 3 super champions who are also all in the Top 5 best players ever (in winning streaks and regular season earnings) participating:
Amy Schneider - 40 Game Streak (2nd Best Ever) / $1,382,800 Winnings (4th Best Ever) Matt Amodio - 38 Game Streak (3rd Best Ever) / $1,518,601 Winnings (3rd Best Ever) Mattea Roach - 23 Game Streak (5th Best Ever) / $560,983 Winnings (5th Best Ever)

Not really, I meant in general with my lament being more about her losing, I hadn't been watching her streak so far

Re: Jeopardy!
She was fun to watch and clearly happy to be there each episode and was enjoying herself. I saw some backlash over her mannerisms and such online, but I've also noticed that people generally grow to "dislike" any contestant that get up to 10+ games.
If you can rewatch her streak at some point, it might still be worth it. I'd say a third or so of her games weren't runaways; she had to work for several of them. Because of this though, she's probably a distant third versus Amy and Matt in the tournament favorites ranking.
We're, at last, largely on similar ~9-5ish schedules, so we typically have dinner around the same time Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! air, so we've been tuning in to them most nights for a solid half year or so now.

Re: Jeopardy!
Ryan Long *might* be on the path to become yet another super-champion this season. Still a long way to go, but he just won his 5th game. He's not as dominate as Amy or Matt so far, but after watching his five games, he seems at least as consistent as Mattea and is 4/5 on Final Jeopardy!.
He's also a Rideshare driver, and while occupation doesn't always mean much in terms of knowledge, I'd say he probably needs the money more than your engineers, managers, etc., so rooting him on!
By the way, Kass Morgan, the author of The 100 book series (adapted on the CW) was on a couple weeks ago. She won her first game, but lost the second. Most authors don't make as much money as people believe, but I would have thought the TV deal (the show did get up to 7 seasons and 100 episodes) would have largely set her life up. But, perhaps she's just a trivia fan and wanted to be on the show for reasons beyond winning money, too.

Re: Jeopardy!
Ryan Long is up to 12 days now. Tied for 10th all-time consecutive. So, four of the all-time top 10 players by consecutive games have come from this current season.
Somewhat low total ($226,000). He's been weak in FJ! lately, but so have others, so he's still been able to win with the lead going into FJ!. And the one game he was behind in, he got FJ! right while the leader missed.

Re: Jeopardy!
A WTF ending to tonight's episode. I could see a great deal of backlash come of it.

Re: Jeopardy!
The biggest Tournament of Champions ever begins in 3 weeks.
Also, looks like there is a likely super champ in the making already this new season with Cris. All 7 of his games have been runaways, and he's raking up some very impressive earnings each game. 7-day total of $221,000 ($31,500 average) so far.
He's so-so on Final Jeopardy! (4/7, if I recall correctly), which could make him vulnerable at some point, but definitely giving the strongest, most dominating performances since Amy and Matt last season.

Cris just had a $53,000+ game, and is up to $275,000+ after 8 days now. He was up against a very strong player tonight, and thus had to go big on the DD and FJ to get that high, but shows he's willing to go big when the pressure is on.

Re: Jeopardy!
Solid Tournament of Champions. Amy ended up winning, being the heavy favorite, but at least it ended up going 6 games to keep it interesting. Amy had many runaways, but Andrew (due to always risking it all on the DDs) gave her a run for her money.
All-Time Winnings (includes tournament earnings):
1 Brad Rutter $4,953,436 2 Ken Jennings $4,370,700 3 James Holzhauer $2,962,216 4 Amy Schneider $1,632,800 5 Matt Amodio $1,528,601 6 David Madden $773,733 7 Larissa Kelly $660,930 8 Matt Jackson $611,612 9 Mattea Roach $570,983 10 Roger Craig $555,200
Hope we can see some future Greatest of All-Time Tournaments that includes Amy, Matt, and the guy below (assuming he keeps his crazy run up) against the original 3 in the first one. Although I don't know if Ken would participate being a/the host now?
Also, this happened yesterday. Cris has already been doing amazingly well, but this *probably* indicates he's gonna, possibly, take aim at the big 5.
