http://tv.zap2it.com/tveditorial/tve_ma ... 1|,00.html

In a nutshell:

TOTAL VIEWERS:
1. CBS 12.92 million
2. ABC 10.05
3. FOX 10.00
4. NBC 9.78
5. UPN 3.36
6. WB 3.35

18-49 RATINGS
1. FOX 4.1
2. CBS 4.0
3. ABC 3.7
4. NBC 3.5
5. WB 1.5 (18-34, but I read somewhere it's 1.4 if it's 18-49)
6. UPN 1.4 (18-34 and 18-49)

ABC posted gains. FOX finally won 18-49 for a whole season. NBC goes to hell (which was occupied by ABC last season).

NBC's going to remain in 4th place *again* next season, probably.

None of their new shows look like breakouts.

I think NBC's saving grace is transforming Tuesday into a "MUST SEE TV-esque" line-up, with high buzz, good quality sitcoms, and 1 drama at the 10 o'clock spot

I feel it should be this, if anything:

8:00-:30--The Office (Many compare it to Seinfield, and I feel if it led the line-up, it would really explode next season)
:30-9:00--NEW SITCOM HERE
9:00-9:30--Scrubs (Probably the best comedy on TV right now, and really under appreciated. It could use this type of lineup)
:30-10:00--NEW SITCOM HERE or WILL AND GRACE ( The "filler" position that would benefit from a "buzz" night)
10:00-11:00--Est. Drama here (LAW AND ORDER, LAS VEGAS, AMERICAN DREAMS)

And if they publicize the night right, it could really be the next MUST SEE TV.

Heh, NBC sucks. Instead of, oh I don't know, developing good shows, they spend a lot of time trying to get 24 from Fox. [-X

It would still be baffling if the Emmys make NBC the most nominated non-cable network given that they are in such a critical, creative, and audience rut.

FOX still has American Idol. It returns in January 2006.

Well they had a great 20 year run starting in 84 with the Cosby Show.

Cosby
Family Ties
Night Court
Cheers
Fraiser
Seinfeld
Friends
ER

Great for ABC. Awful for NBC.

The leader will probably still be CBS even though they lost Everybody Loves Raymond. They still have a pretty strong Monday night lineup, especially with Two and a Half Men.
