13. "Nick and Jessica's Tour of Duty" (ABC) 4.2/6

Much appreciated, plot, and this is going to come across rude, and that's not my intention, so please forgive me, but I'll just never understand why people want to be the first to post this stuff. I honestly am content with Libs posting the ratings. She doesn't care who does it, but it's more consistant and offical looking when one person does it.

Great for CSI: Miami and Two and Half Men. I tuned in to CSI: Miami for the season finale and I enjoyed it. I am going to watch this next season. Maybe I should watch CSI.

Completely understandable. I've simply been posting the ratings whenever I saw that they hadn't been posted yet (I've had more free time since AP exams, so that's been happening more frequently). I'll gladly let Libs take over; I don't care who posts the ratings as long as someone does it.

I think the same thing; Plot does a good job posting it, so I have no objections with it. It's not like previous occasions when people would be annoying and "race" me to post something.

We had the same discussion over the daily box office numbers and honestly I agree with Libs. It doesn't really matter, after all this isn't exactly a "professional" site.

Just my three cents though (as my thoughts are worth so much more then two cents).

Thanks for not being offended, plot, and it wasn't even intended toward you, but it sometimes has an effect where another will start trying to post, then another, and another, and so it goes. It can get out of control, so that's why I prefer that she does it, but that's just me. She doesn't care, and most others probably don't either, so I look like a whiney bitch.

I thought both "Still Standing" and "Two and a Half Men" were hour shows? Why did they consider them seperate half-hours? Also, it's interesting that a repeat of "Men" beat a new show (But I think that might be wrong because it was an hour). Anybody know?

Cause more people tuned in at its regular time which ended up having the repeat than its new time with the new episode. Was it the season finale last night?

Yep. Was it an hour like the ads were saying or was it two different episodes?

The Two and a Half Men at 9:00 was the season finale. It was a seperate repeat episode at 9:30.

Well for a season finale Two and a Half men wasn't so strong. I mean without the Raymond finale, it sometimes got up to 18 or 19 million.
So without a regular Raymond lead in it dropped around 4 million viewers and for the finale! That doesn't bode well. It will still probably be the highest rated comedy and nothing better could have filled that spot, but that finale number didn't look promising, especially when you had something like the Nick and Jessica Duty thing on another channel! ;)

Speaking of which.... ABC should seriously drop these Nick and Jessica events. I think it would get them more ratings than all their specials combined if they did a 2 hour interview about why their marriage failed.

Well, that's just it. Two and a Half Men is not an enormous ratings monster like Raymond was. I'm sure once it has been in that Monday at 9 anchor spot for a while, ratings will remain consistent and probably grow over time, just like what happened to Raymond.

I wish the 24 season finale would've done better than just a normal episode...

Two and a Half Men's finale had 14.2 Million viewers
its repeat straight after had 14.8 Million viewers....
Still Standing had 8.4 Million Viewers
its repeat? 9.5 million...
That suggests that no one was made aware of the early finales. But either way its not the best of news for a post-raymond CBS; theyd better hope Men can remain consistent without Raymond [and people dont realise how crap it is]

24 ended with 12.0 million viewers which is pretty damn good.
Medium ended with 11.9 Million viewers; which reflects a pretty high corrosion of viewers throughout the season. Theyve kind of faded [slowly but surely] away.

American Idol finshes Wednesday against Lost's two hour special .
All of that is pointing towards a very good showing of Alias - with most viewers from Idol likely to turn over to ABC after the show.

Holland Taylor is hilarious. I especially loved her in the episode 2 weeks ago at the funeral.

They were all half hour shows.

You can tell with the one being a repeat.

************************************************

Also throwing a wretch into the numbers is that 24 was a 2 hour season finale ( or almost a 4th series finale ) that was 2 hours from 8 - 10.

Would the 24 finale numbers count as one or two shows? For the 2-hour Sunday premiere and the following 2-hour Monday, I think they were all separated.
