Jeopardy Championship Starting - Ken Jennings on May 23 - 25
Looks like they are doing this to get 2 players to play againist Ken Jennings for 2 million on May 23 - 25.
***************************************************************************
Probably since Jennings had a new rule that let him keep on winning - they are giving others a chance at the same 2 million that he made.

It's just for ratings sweeps.
They've been doing this since Jan./Feb. - the past Jeopardy winners since 1985 play against each other and the winners get to advance. Some players get "byes" - the ones who have won ridiculous amounts of money so they don't have to play in the play-offs, just in the quarterfinals and semifinals. Since Ken Jennings won huge (given that term-limits were removed) he only gets to play in the finals against two others who have advanced from earlier months' rounds. And the finals happened to fall on May sweeps.

But are the players better.
I saw half a game today and the players seemed pretty good.
Not that I watch often but usually they have some players who aren't very good.

It really depends on the player. One of the seeded players (those who dodn't compete in the initial rounds because they won lots of moolah) got hammered by the other non-seededs. And then there's this young, cute girl (I think it was from Monday or Tuesday, forgot the day or her name) who surprised the two older guys in final Jeopardy with her correct question "Who is Roald Dahl?"

What? Ken Jennings is back? YES!! \:D/ \:D/
I will be watching this for sure. I watched almost all of Ken's winning performances. The man is God among mortals and will kill whoever he goes up against. He should go on Super Millionaire with Regis and will the big bucks.

No big deal as it is a 3 day show and there was only a couple thousand difference between all 3 of them.
I think they ranged from 16 to 18 K.

Thought the guy in the middle was very good and the guy on the left got lucky on a couple of categories that kept him in.
Should be a good 3 days.

Ken kicked ass in the first round but then the guy in the middle went off on his chemistry category and went ahead. Don't worry, Ken will win. Now he's pissed.
