WB May Rebroadcast 'Gilmore' Finale
(Thursday, May 19 10:51 AM)

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) Normally, 27 seconds isn't a lot of time, just several blinks of an eye. But to some fans of The WB's "Gilmore Girls," the loss of 27 seconds can seem like a lifetime. Internet message boards have been buzzing this week with frustrated fans who missed the cliffhanger conclusion of Tuesday (May 18) night's "Gilmore" finale.

The "Gilmore Girls" finale ran 27 seconds over its allotted hour, leaving fans who set their VCRs or digital records for the hour exactly without the show's waning moments. Unfortunately for those fans, those last instants -- a scene between Lauren Graham's Lorelai and Scott Patterson's Luke -- featured a twist that was strongly hinted at through the week in the netlet's promos.

According to a WB spokesperson, the network is well aware of the problem and there have been discussions about rebroadcasting the episode in its entirety, but an official date and time has yet to be determined. The possibility has also been raised of putting parts of the finale up on The WB's website.

Roughly 5.9 million viewers tuned in for Tuesday's "Gilmore Girls."

That would so have sucked being one of the people that set their TiVo or VCR's to record it. Hopefully they'll air it again soon for them.

WB Will Re-Air 'Gilmore' Finale
(Wednesday, May 25 08:56 AM)

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) Assuming someone else hasn't spoiled the ending for them, frustrated "Gilmore Girls" fans will get another chance to see the show's season finale in its entirety.

Citing "popular demand from viewers," The WB says it will re-air the finale at 9 p.m. ET Tuesday (May 31). It will be preceded by the season's penultimate episode.

The demand came about because the finale, first broadcast May 17, ran 27 seconds over its normal hour. Rather than a quiet denouement, however, that last half-minute contained a crucial cliffhanger scene, which The WB had teased in promos for the episode.

Fans of the show whose VCRs or digital recorders stopped recording at exactly 9 p.m. on the 17th were left hanging. The WB says it "received a barrage of calls and e-mails from viewers and television reporters" about the overrun and therefore decided rerunning the episode in its entirety would be a good idea.

Just to be safe, though, viewers might want to set their recorders' end time for a minute or two past 10 p.m. on Tuesday.

That's great for the people that missed it or want to see it again or record it.

And Eagle, I just have to say that I dig your sig .
