Why don't they learn?

They couldn't successfully even make a TV show of Rush Hour. FUCKING RUSH HOUR???!! That's not even particularly liked. Whereas Lethal Weapon is absolutely adored. If they really have to remake (for TV) a buddy cop film, remake Midnight Run or 48Hrs. They're no where near as popular, and the characters in those films could be messed around with a lot more (though I love De Niro as Walsh and Grodin the Duke). Lethal Weapon is Gibson and Glover. You change the actors and keep the title, and you'll have trouble convincing people. It's just idiotic, in my opinion.

If done right, it can work, especially to a new audience.
I loathe the idea though, waste of time and resources. Hollywood just loves to churn out reboots/ retellings of past successes. But at least I'd say, re-make the film, re-making it in a tv-show just feels so mediocre, well I just felt that directly seeing the cast.

That's what I don't understand. What "new audience"? Do you think that anyone of, say, 17 years-old, that is likely to watch this TV series, hasn't heard of and/or seen the original movies?

I seriously think people don't care about this. Like not even fans are getting upset. This show will be forgotten quickly.
