So Louis C.K. dropped a completely under wraps miniseries set in a bar with Steve Buscemi, Edie Falco, Jessica Lange and Alan Alda on his website available for a few dollars. ![]() I thought the first episode was incredible. Highly recommended for people who like play-like screenplays (it is close to being a chamber piece set in a bar) especially ones with emotionally stunted characters in it. The acting was predictably stellar with Alda as the standout so far. This is one of the best things I've seen in a while |

A few people recommended this to me, I always forget about it. I think I'll download one episode just to remember it. |

Watched the first episode. Did not expect that AT ALL. It's not a comedy and it goes on for over an hour. I expected a sitcom. Anyway, it was strangely appealing. I wish there was some lightness to it, but seeing Buscemi and C.K. and Alda in a play environment is great. |

I found it to be funny but it's clearly a blacker style of humor. Some of the random quips by the bar patrons are hilarious |

Yeah, I laughed a few times, but not nearly enough as I should have done for something that runs for over an hour and stars Louis C.K., and it's a million miles away from Louis C.K. and his stand-up routine type of humour - which I was expecting it to be. It's the first C.K. television series I'd watched. |

Louie is definitely the more lighthearted and comedic show and a hundred times more popular and present on social media. Horace and Pete was a side project that he released independently online and most people have no idea it exists. |

Well, it's been bought by Hulu now so that will change. But I cannot find Louis anywhere!!!! I really want to see it. |

Second episode better mixes the tragedy with the humour. Much more successful as black humour. Loved it. |

I'm half way. Hopefully they sell the fucking pub and split it three ways. Sister pays for her cancer treatment. And Horace/Pete open a new pub and call it "Horace and Pete's" because they will have $4 million to do it with. Glad Uncle Pete died. Surprising but glad because he was a nasty cunt. Looks like the sister is taking in his footsteps. She is being a horrible bitch to her daughter. |
