 AMERICAN HORROR STORY
Very solid pilot. It's definitely off to a good start. Am looking forward to more. I'd give the pilot a B+.

 Re: AMERICAN HORROR STORY
The pilot was great and very creepy. Then again, I would literally watch Connie Britton in anything because I love her so much, so my opinion might be biased

 Re: AMERICAN HORROR STORY
I enjoyed the show. There were some parts that were Wicker Man weird and campy but thats what makes it entertaining. Its nowhere as bad as the critics made it out to be

 Re: AMERICAN HORROR STORY
Good pilot, but parts of it felt a bit too fast, too soon on certain scares. It might've worked better with a more subtle pilot episode. A more creepy atmosphere and less all-out frights.
And I've filled my lifetime quota of seeing Dylan McDermott's bare ass.

 Re: AMERICAN HORROR STORY
The pilot was...all right, I s'pose. It had great individual moments, but was far too busy, crowded, and swiftly paced. It had so many big moments, they ceased to seem very big at all. For example, the mother having sex with her "husband" in the S&M suit...you know a TV show is in a weird place when such a creepy violation is just, "Eh, another scene." Or the way the cutter daughter's relationship with the disturbed teen was born within the space of one cut. It was almost whiplash-inducing. If this series wants to endure, it needs to slow down, let character beats have breathing room, and concentrate on building an overall suspense and atmosphere rather than just BAM! WHAM! SNAP! assaulting the viewers' eyes and ears every split second.

 Re: AMERICAN HORROR STORY
This was just...wacky.
I enjoyed Connie Britton, seeing Dylan McDermott without clothes and Jessica Lange acting like a crazy nutbag. But it doesn't strike me as a series that can really develop.

 Re: AMERICAN HORROR STORY
I still don't think Ryan Murphy and Co. can follow through on an idea. I loved Nip/Tuck and Glee in their early days, but never felt compelled to keep watching after a season or two. I hope he proves me wrong here.
The writing pedigree is impressive though: X-Files vet James Wong and Whedon regular Tim Minear are among the writing staff.

I think I found my replacement for DH next season (well, if this survives another season).

Last night's episode was great. Zachary Quinto was awesome and I loved all the twists. This is becoming quite addicting.

 Re: AMERICAN HORROR STORY
I didn't care for the stereotypical portrayal of the gay guys. I hated these characters. They were bitches . Good episode though. Poor Addie . If she'd just went as Snoopy that might not have happened .

Last night's episode was insane. Easily the best one yet. The twist at the end was awesome. Also great seeing Ashley Rickards on this show (she's great on MTV's wonderful "Awkward").

Anyway, I'm not gaga over this show. It's solid, but hasn't lived up to its promise after the premiere, IMO. I'll still keep watching it though.

Great episode tonight. I thought the opening scene was incredibly disturbing.

 Re: AMERICAN HORROR STORY
This episode was almost as good as the Halloween 2, but holy shit at that opening scene talk about disturbing!.
I also loved that every character had a different storyline and while the Tate storyline was only a subplot the last episode in this one really took the front seat and proves once again that it's the best storyline of the show so far.

 Re: AMERICAN HORROR STORY
Holy shit, this episode was too much. Poor Vivien, Hayden is such a bitch bt it was nice to see the ghost actually interacting.
TATE is the rubber man?!?!?!?! so that means he knows he's dead?.
I think this rivals the halloween episodes as the best so far.

 Re: AMERICAN HORROR STORY
Last week's episode was INSANE. I hate Violet now - and I hope that anyone who was a fan of Tate has changed their tune. He's a sick and disgusting individual. I also think Violet is dead as there's been a spoiler going around that one of the main characters has been dead for several weeks now and will realize it later, and also because it was foreshadowed with the mention that she hadn't been to school in several weeks, etc.
I hope Vivian makes it out of everything OK though. The episode really made you sympathize with her.
Also LOVING Kate Mara as Hayden. So entertaining.
