Anne Hathaway to star in "THE AMBASSADOR'S WIFE"
http://deadline.com/2015/08/anne-hathaw ... 201501018/Quote: Anna Hathaway will star in a limited TV series adaptation of Jennifer Steil’s novel The Ambassador’s Wife, which the Mark Gordon Company has acquired rights to finance and produce. Hathaway will also produce the project, which is inspired by Steil’s personal experiences as the wife of the British Ambassador to Yemen. The book is a harrowing tale about the kidnapping of an American woman in the Middle East and the heartbreaking choices she and her husband each must make in the hope of being reunited.
This is the first TV project for the new LA-based indie studio formed by Mark Gordon and Entertainment One to finance and produce premium film, TV and digital content, which eOne will distribute internationally.
The Ambassador’s Wife was published last month by Doubleday. Steil’s first book, The Woman Who Fell From The Sky, was a memoir about her adventures as an editor of the Yemen Observer in Sana’a.
“The Ambassador’s Wife is an incredible story that pulls you in immediately and resonates with all of us based on the images and news headlines that are pervasive in our lives today,” said Mark Gordon. “We are so fortunate to have Anne starring in this timely, gripping, and compassionate drama. She is in a league all her own and we cannot think of anyone who can better portray Steil’s complex heroine.”
Oscar winner Hathaway, repped by CAA, Management 360 and Sloane Offer, is next up in Warner Bros’ The Intern.
The book is repped by CAA for TV and The Book Group for publishing. Anne is one of my favorite actresses and arguably the biggest name to gravitate towards TV yet. I'm definitely excited - the project sounds intriguing and she can kill it with the right dramatic material. I'd be shocked if this ended up anywhere but HBO though. They seem to shell out the most for these big star-driven projects.

Anyone who hates Anne Hathaway is an asshole. That saying, those who didn't hate Anne Hathaway during that three month Oscar run are monsters.

Re: Anne Hathaway to star in "THE AMBASSADOR'S WIFE"
People got pissed when she made it clear she wanted the Oscar the year she was the frontrunner. Because it's so disgraceful to want recognition for doing your job well and all.
Meanwhile Eddie Redmayne did the exact same thing last year and got almost no bad press.
But yeah, she's easily one of my favorites. I just saw her onstage earlier this year in "Grounded" (a one-woman show she did in the city) and she was SENSATIONAL.

Hathaway is fine. Presentable, nice, clean, just not sexy. And I need my sex.

It depends on the woman, but long hair is traditionally my favourite too.
