Just watched the first two episodes. Much better than I expected. It's a total guilty pleasure. Will keep watching for sure. I hope it's on the air for a while.

I just watched the first two episodes and thought it was really entertaining. Definitely a good summer replacement series for fans of "The Vampire Diaries" (which it reminded me of a lot). The cast was really appealing and charming too. I'll keep watching. A nice surprise.

Yeah, it's nice to have a fun show like this during the summer when most shows are in reruns.

Entertainment Weekly gave this a B+ and it made their "Must" list for the week.

Post Re: MTV's "Teen Wolf"
The first episode premiered with 2.2 Million viewers after the MTV Movie Awards, and the second episode the following night dropped to 1.472. Obviously a big drop was expected due to a solid lead-in for the premiere, but I definitely hope it can go up a bit or not drop any more. They aired the first two episodes several times throughout the week so hopefully it will have nabbed some new viewers to tune in for the third episode. I know I'm excited for it. Will definitely be curious to see how it holds up.

The pilot was bad. Last night I got halfway through the second episode before I fell asleep. At that point it wasn't much of an improvement over the first.

I have a feeling that MTV will stick with this show like they did with "RJ Berger." It's not causing any controversy whatsoever which is what I feel lead to "Skins" and its cancellation (also the fact that it was atrocious could have factored in as well).

What an awesome third episode! This show is better than Vampire Diaries for sure.

Let's not go crazy here. Considering "The Vampire Diaries" in its second season was one of my top ten favorite shows on TV, I doubt this will top it ;)

Well I'm still not crazy about The Vampire Diaries. The second season has certainly improved over the first from what I've seen, but I think I've only watched the first 10 episodes and I'm still not LOVING it. The flashbacks bore me, and so do the three leads. The stuff with Caroline is the most interesting by far. But for me in a short time this has surpassed The Vampire Diaries. VD is more Twilight, but Teen Wolf is more Buffy. No, not as great, but awesome in its own right and it could easily get even better.

I really love Stiles. He has officially become my favorite character with the third episode. He's so funny.

Ew, don't compare such a smartly written and performed show to Twilight.

Good episode tonight. Can't wait for the next. Not convinced the alpha is Scott's boss though.

You're so gay sometimes.

And Buffy? Seriously? I only saw the first half of the pilot for Teen Wolf (that was more than enough for me), but this is and never will be any kind of BtVS. Unless, of course, you're referring to some of the monster-of-the-week S1/S2 episodes. Then yes, I would say it could be compared to BtVS--except with none of the humorous writing, good actors, or general quality beneath the $8 monster makeup/FX.

But again, I only saw the first half of the pilot. Maybe after that they replaced the showrunner, hired a whole new writing crew, fired all the actors so they could find better ones, and a host of other things necessary to even be at BtVS S1 quality :D

I'm not the only one who compared it to Buffy. Entertainment Weekly did too :P. It's not as great as Buffy, but it's a comparable show, IMO.

I need to catch up on this. I'm like three episodes behind now ;) It's good, but far from a must-watch for me at this point.

LOL at even people mentioning Buffy in this thread. You people do realize that Buffy gave one of the best episode on TV ever? And you do realize that MTV's version of Teen Wolf will never do that?

That being said, it has actually become enjoyable. It's quickly paced just like The Vampire Diaries which works well considering the plot isn't anything special. It ain't even close to being a huge guilty pleasure like that one, but it turned out to be a decent summer show I guess. The pilot was bad but it picked up pretty fast and since episode 3/4 I actually like to wake up and see a new episode every week.

Good episode tonight. Was annoyed with Scott for selling out Derek though.

The episode looked like it would be action packed and great, but it was probably the worst episode yet. Almost like a bottle episode. Nothing happened. And the effects in this show are just LOL.

I actually enjoy TW slightly more than V at this point. But it's still a very mediocre show yet to find its footing.
