Re: American Film Institute (AFI) Top 10 Shows
Six cable series, two network series, two Netflix series. Times are changin'.
Boy, Arrested Development really got no love this year for their Netflix experiment. Too bad. It was far from perfect, but I admired the effort.

GOT, TGW, Veep are all excellent and deserve to be in any TOP 10.

Re: American Film Institute (AFI) Top 10 Shows
Homeland has really fallen off the list of almost every tv critic out there. Its still very werid seeing Scandal on the list considering AFI usually awards prestigious shows not soap operas.

Re: American Film Institute (AFI) Top 10 Shows
Homeland isn't getting the love this season simply because it just hasn't been very good.

Maybe I just don't "get" TV. Because TV awards/lists always seem awful to me.

I'm hoping Orange is the New Black getting unanimous praise on all these lists is a sign of things to come at the Emmys.

Re: Critics' Top 10 Lists of 2013 Thread
Orange is the New Black is really dominating the list. I knew it would be on the lists but didn't expect it to be that high in the top 3. It seems like the list this year is all over the place except with Breaking Bad and Orange. It will be interesting to see the final tabulation.
Boardwalk Empire is making a comeback of all sorts after missing from those lists 2 seasons ago while Homeland has not yet appeared on any of the published critics list. Showtime has really gone "Dexter" with that show.

I don't get time. First they put Enlightened above Breaking Bad, but then can't find one episodes from Enlightened to put in their Top 10?

Waiting for a lone voice of truth to emerge and rightly hail Dracula.

No offense against you or Dracula, but could it be that you hail it this much because you are just not watching many of the "good"/acclaimed series?

David, did you watch the first season of Orange is the New Black? It's a must see. And now is the time to catch up before season 2 arrives.

No, I don't have Netflix streaming. I would have to watch it on DVD/Blu-ray.

Here for "Orphan Black" being on a few of these lists, it's SO incredible and worth watching.
"OITNB" is amazing too. Happy for it.

Top of the Lake started off so well and the imagery is just beyond beautiful but it completely dropped the ball in the last episode.
