I haven't seen more than a minute of 24 and those Super Bowl commercials even got me excited.

Yeah this had great teasers last night. 3 of them, if I remember them all.

I only watched the first season and about half of the second season of this series, but I'm more inclined to catch up before the start of this due to these promos. I thought they were better than a lot of the movie ads last night.

I watched the first and second season and I "think" some of the third? I'm not going to "catch up", but I will watch this upcoming season.

24 has been awesome throughout, despite some people (there are a few of those here also) hating on some seasons post season 5.

Listen, I am a major "24"-fan and in the process of rewatching the entire show for the third time now, but there is agood reason people hate the sixth season 8even though its first 4 episodes are aces) and most of the seventh. They suck. They suck hard. S8 is a great rebound, though.

They are right.The "24" trailer was a major event and they really made it work.

I wonder what viewership it will debut with. The final season averaged 9.3 million. The series' most-viewed episode got 17 nmillion viewers. If Fox' marketing continues to rock, I could see 15-16 million viewers for the premiere.

What? Season 7 is considered one of the better seasons of the show (and Season 8, which I like, is considered a pretty big step down).

That's fine, but you have to be reading from some truly weird sources if you honestly believe Season 8 was better received on the whole than 7 was.

When 24 was good, it was really damn good (season 5). Season 6 was the obvious low point of the series, though.

Can't wait for its return. I was ready for it to end when it did but this limited format comeback is really enticing.

3/4/5 is the pinnacle of the series and some of the best ever. You need to catch up just for that. It's unbelievable. Jack on Heroine a whole different animal.

As far as 7 and 8. Both are great. 7 got silly halfway though though, 8 as a whole was a better season though. The first half of 7 was vintage awesome though.

Scratch that. I saw seasons 1-4. I don't think I saw 5-8.

I would definitely watch Season 5. It's easily the best year the show had.

7 was good until they turned Tony into an anti-Hero/villain that was a joke, and really made no sense to his character. They should have just kept Voight as the villain for the whole season.

You've gotta be kidding me. S7 gets completely off the rails after the Olympus Has Fallen part.

I'm not saying I liked 7 better than 8 (though, thinking about it, I probably did since 8's really, really warmed-over rehash until Renee dies); just that the wide perception is that Season 7 was a return to form and Season 8 a step down.

I wholeheartedly disagree.I believe if one goes over the comments in their respective threads over here at WOKJ, a similar picture arises that I had in my mind.

The thing is that S7 certainly had a stronger first half, but S8 is much better overall, maily because it gets straight-up fucking awesome in the final stretch of episodes, whereas S7 kinda leaves you with a bad taste in your moth with the whole Tony flip-flopping.
