2. "Grey's Anatomy" (ABC) - 13.4/21 It's improving in the ratings on top of already strong numbers. Isn't that it's highest ratings yet? Glad I'm starting to like it more. 13. "The Contender" (NBC) - 3.4/5 Poor Sly. ![]() |

ABC's Sunday is unstoppable. Other than CBS Thursday, it's the strongest network lineup on television today. That's another series-high for Grey's Anatomy, by the way. |

I don't see ABC breaking that duo up anytime soon. It would be pretty dumb. I hope they find a good spot for Boston Legal. Not sure if there really is one. :???: |

It's not like it didn't have one of the best possible lead ins that it could have, it just didn't capitalize like Grey's Anatomy has. I have a feeling that this could lead to bad things for Boston Legal, as many shows that get moved around end up getting axed. ![]() |

It should be fine. How are those The Amazing Race recaps at TWoP coming along? Heh. |

I'm enjoying reading up on this season quite a bit. I don't know if I'll fit it all in before the big night tomorrow (my first show \:D/ ) , as it's like reading a novel due to the length, but I'm trying my best to do it. I can totally understand why Lynn is so hated. I can't wait to actually see him for myself. |

Another great night for ABC. There are only 4 episodes left for the season for Desperate Housewives. |

No more Arrested Development for the rest of the season makes me sad. And the possibility of cancellation (not to mention being left hanging!) makes me even sadder. Seriously, I'd sacrifice some of my new favorites (Desperate Housewives, Lost, Boston Legal) just to see it come back. Is that not enough, FOX!? |

I think it'll be on Fox for atleast one more season, they don't really have anything to replace it with. But the assholes should burn for not showing us the other three episodes. DH/GA do so damn good. Both shows are far inferior to Arrested Development. Maybe ABC should pick up AD, then it'd do good. |

Last night's episode of Malcolm in the Middle was hilarious! I have decided that Bryan Cranston is one of the best physical comedians in existence. I was literally in tears of laughter watching him hold the broken TV over his face. |

I'm already upset enough with ABC (most likely) canceling Less Than Perfect, and 8 Simple Rules is a possibility too. The end of Arrested Development is going to be a bleak day in television history. |

Sucks to know Contender is never coming back for a new season, while American Idol is probably gonna be around until the world ends. Boxing is just such a hard sell. |

Boston Legal is so dead next season. They wont air the last 6 episodes of this season until the beginning of fall this year. The situation almost sounds similiar to when Jag was on NBC and when Boomtown was cancelled because Kingpin was getting better ratings on the same timeslot period. I wont be surprised to see Boston Legal pulled off the air following its 5th episode next season |

That makes very little sense. |

Libs wrote: Um...why? It was never getting bad ratings, why would ABC just pull it altogether? That makes very little sense. I know it will return next season but the ratings for Boston Legal were ok but bad or good. By moving it to a different time slot, they are in sense going to bury the show. I used two shows from NBC's line up few years ago to illustrate my point. Stuff like that mostly happen. Remember when Kingpin was getting impressive ratings for NBC but never renewed or that Boomtown won a peabody award and was doing good on Sunday night till Kingpin got better ratings than it. It was then buried on a friday night, got no promotion and taken off the air after 3 episodes into season 2. The only other timeslot that would make sense for Boston Legal would be on tuesday 10pm taking over Blind Justice's slot but Im certain Law & Order will kill it. BL is only doing as well as it is because of Desperate Housewives lead in audience The Practice before that was also doing good on sunday nights but it then got moved to a monday night slot and saw its own ratings tumble. It was almost cancelled during that time till they did a rehaul of the cast and placed it back on sunday |

I wasnt quite sure what the question you are referring to but Im assuming you meant the "Last 6 episodes right" I was a little surprised too when I read that they stopped airing the last 6 episodes of the season and wont show them till next fall at the futoncritic |

I was asking as to why ABC would purposefully bury the show when it's relatively promising. We should see how it would do in another slot before writing it off. |

My biggest concern with Boston Legal, is that it just doesn't seem to be able to get it's footing. It doesn't seem like the network has ever had much confidence in it. First creatively, they fired that one girl (not sure what her name was, but she was good looking) and brought in Candice Bergen, and then Betty White, in an attempt to change and shake things up, and now, yanking it from it's cushy time slot, in which it's replacement has soundly trounced it in the ratings. I think that it does have potential, but networks do dumb things, and Boston Legal is not in the best positions right now, as it really has the stigma of a failure and a mess in direction, even though it's really not so bad on the surface as it looks. |

Actually, Maverikk, to tell you the truth and my personal opinion, I never really thought Boston Legal would break out and I never saw too much potential. I have only seen less than a handful of episodes and those were at the beginning. I have heard it has had a creative turn for the better since then and I can see how this could be a great show. Yet, as great as it could be, I don't seem to see any potential large audience for it in today's TV viewers. I don't see the appeal in the show. I really think that at least a couple million of its viewers are from Desperate housewives ALONE. Another good percentage of its audience tunes in at the conveniance of its timeslot I believe. Sundays at 10 is a pretty nice place to have a decently entertaining show. During the week is harder to catch on. I could be wrong and for the viewers' and writers' sake (actually everyone working on the show) I hope it premieres and continues next season with ratings hovering above 10 million but I think it will drop below that and maybe do consistently but just a bit better than say Blind Justice started out with (8-11 million) |
