 Re: The Following
I have my DVR set because the commercials told me to. I would have anyway, I'm not watching this over Bunheads. Looks like it could be good.

 Re: The Following
I feel like I've seen ads for this for a year. I love Kevin Bacon so I'm checking it out, so far, definitely cool.

This is like the most graphic thing I've ever seen on network TV. It's interesting so far though.

 Re: The Following
This is awful. It's every bad Silence of the Lambs wannabe rolled into one.
Except, I guess, more violent. She stabbed herself in the eye? Yawn.
EDIT:
Is Kevin Williamson capable of writing shit that isn't dependent on books, films, and being 'cool'? When Purefoy said there are three hundred active serial killers in the country, I wanted Timothy Olyphant to pop out from Scream 2 and say, "I was quite a find!" He's not only recycling Thomas Harris, he's cannibalizing his own stuff. (The whole show is based on his original Scream 3 idea.)

 Re: The Following
Well, I'm certainly intrigued (and unnerved enough) to keep watching. Bonus points for the use of Marilyn Manson's version of "Sweet Dreams" which is the only song by them (him?) I like and always creeps me out for whatever reason.

 Re: The Following
I actually liked it and the pilot was very creepy. Kevin Bacon is great in this. I was shocked they killed off Maggie Grace in the first episode

 Re: The Following
I had a feeling Maggie Grace was the show's Drew Barrymore in Scream when she was billed last during the credits and hasn't been promoted as being on the show at all.

She was either going to die or be a villain. Come on, guys, you're movie buffs.

 Re: The Following
Yeah Maggie being killed so soon was a shocker. The pilot was good though and it was shocking to see it be so violent. Will definitely keep up. Hope the ratings are good.

Speaking of villains, I totally saw the nanny being one after the "followers" were mentioned.

Well, maybe I'll give the pilot a watch after all. Anyone know if they'll air it again this week sometime?

 Re: The Following
This was great, and the acting was top notch. I think the flashbacks work the most I have a feeling the letter was that Kevin Bacon is the real father of the kid

 Re: The Following
I just watched it and... eh. It was alright, but definitely not anything great. Kevin Bacon was REALLY bad in this. The scene where he figured out that the gay couple were followers was hysterical because his acting was so bad. The flashbacks worked really well though and were actually very creepy. I don't know, I guess it has potential but it is so farfetched (these followers... I don't know, I think it's actually quite stupid) to take seriously, IMO. I'll keep watching for a few episodes though and see if it improves.

 Re: The Following
A great second episode that keeps up the suspense of the show. Emma is a psycho bitch.
Two things I wish the show won't get too caught up in though: the love triangle and having new suspects wear those creepy Poe masks.

 Re: The Following
I may or may not have made an audible shriek when the Edgar Allen Poe mask became a live person in the middle of that house.

It's nice to see Annie Parisse alive and well again after being murdered and stuffed in the trunk of a car on Law & Order
