Post THE BIG C - the best show nobody is watching
Seriously, why doesn't nobody watch this amazing show? :( The first two seasons were great. The third was decent but definitely a step back from the first two but this season has been so, so fucking amazing. It's such a huge return to form for the show.

I am so sad there are only two shows of this show ever. I'm going to be a mess.

Wasn't crazy about the Season 4 premiere but the second and third episodes were great.

Anyway, I know people here started watching it but it doesn't appear anyone stuck around.

I do watch the Big C. The last episode was intriguing especially
Spoiler: show
when Adam (Gabriel Basso) screamed at this dad (Oliver Platt) for being lazy and not being there to support mom's cancer (Laura Linney)

I loved the bit with them all in the car bringing Cathy to hospice and everyone crying. :P That was hysterical.

I just don't want to say goodbye to this show on Monday. ;) Sure, the third season was kind of all over the place but this show still has a special place in my heart. I also had a very good friend die of stage four melanoma almost a year ago, so it's kind of special to me.

Do you think they're actually going to kill Cathy or leave it more open ended? Obviously she is on her way there, but it seems like a lot to happen in one episode, unless they jump around a lot.

Yeah, it seems weird the next episode is the last because if they are planning on having her die it does indeed seem like a lot to cover in one episode.

I used to hate Adam but he's been great this season.

Post Re: THE BIG C - the best show nobody is watching
While watching the first couple of seasons I thought if they ever got to this point in the show that it would be absolutely heartbreaking. But the final season wasn't nearly as effective as I expected. That's not to say it's bad, but I thought I'd cry way more than I did. The moment in Season 1 where Adam found the storage shed and when Lee died in Season 2, or even the scene in the first season where Cathy tells Sean she has cancer after they go visit their father but then takes it back, were all more upsetting to me than anything in Season 4. That's not to say that I'm not thankful that they had a chance to wrap it up and I am overall pleased with the final season. Adam graduating was lovely and I almost cried. Really nice moment. The final scene with Cathy and Andrea was also really nice. Now, the finale did get me when it actually happened. Paul bringing her the flowers and her being gone already was really sad.

Not to be greedy but I wish they could have done 5 episodes at least. It felt kind of rushed. But I won't complain. Would have been worse if it were axed after the third season. At least it was able to rebound after that. I was really disappointed Lee wasn't in the pool at the end. I would have thought we'd see him.
