Very funny episode tonight. I'm glad this show is back. Please, please let it do decent in the ratings paired with Happy Endings. I can't help but feel both shows are too clever to do well on network TV though. Whatever ratings they get I hope it's enough to satisfy ABC.

Premiere sucked aside from Busy Phillipps, who was hilarious. Will definitely be watching "Mindy" over this.

You must not have enjoyed the first season because it didn't dip in quality or anything.

I thought the first season was decent when I first watched it, but far from great. It started annoying me more when I watched the repeats over the summer.

I too re-watched them over the summer with a friend and enjoyed them just as much :P. I'm sorry you don't enjoy it.

Premiere certainly did NOT suck, although I'm still waiting for the show to re-reach the heights of "Daddy's Girl"

"No, I just said that because I'm black. I never watched Moesha."

Indeed the line of the episode.

What I increasingly like about this show is how f-ing weird it is. It's like the most cartoonish thing on TV. Like something you would see on FX alongside It's Always Sunny and not on ABC.

Happy Endings is ridiculously fast-paced but almost seems conventional in structure compared to this show.

I agree. Some of the humor is hilariously absurd.

I've seen one other episode of this show (it was an episode where they were going to leak JVB's sex tape) and I thought it was pretty enjoyable. I'll keep watching, though I'll probably DVR this and watch Happy Endings/The Mindy Project live.

I love how over the top and surreal this show is. And I'm glad it's back.

Another great episode! I lost it at the music video featuring Dave from HE.

Yeah, it was a really funny episode. I loved them referencing Happy Endings.

This show is pretty funny but it needs to build the June character...soon. The show already is starting to feel a little aimless.

Another really good one last night. I disagree with torrino, I think June's current development as the squeaky bastion of confusion works for the most part. It's a nice counterbalance with Chloe.

I think my favorite part was Chloe choosing one of her Halloween victims based on the following snippet of dialogue: "You've never seen The Wire? I'm going to spend the next hour telling you how great it is."

Also, Happy Endings crossover!

I understand her role in the sitcom as a counterbalance with Chloe...I just don't understand the 'literal' interpretation of her role. Her relationship with Chloe isn't totally clear (eg, in the first-ish episodes, she viewed Chloe as an 'enemy'...now, Chloe is somewhere between a 'functional' roommate, a friend, and a person totally at odds with her morals)...meanwhile, she is still working at a coffee shop.

Just feels at this point like the show is a vehicle for Ritter -- and June is wasting oxygen. I'll still watch it for Ritter, but they need to do something with June.

I wouldn't go that far. Though I did think the second episode was better than the blah premiere.

This episode isn't even over but I'm laughing so hard and so often that i wanted to come and reiterate that this is easily the best sitcom on tv

Sadly a friend called and interrupted me during this. I had to look something up online for them so I missed a good chunk of it. What I saw was hilarious though. Easily better than tonight's episode of Happy Endings.

This show gets better every week? Its laugh ratio is getting almost as high as Happy Endings which is a rather remarkable accomplishment. And it continues to be weird and cartoonish as hell.

"My tubes."

"Oh dear god Brenda, I hate you. New idea for the photo shoot: James' horse tramples and kills Brenda."

Also, when did James Van Der Beek get hot? I think I missed something.

Since the Funny or Die DILF Jeans video ;). I used to find him really attractive when I was a teenager and he was on Dawson's Creek. But I wouldn't have called him "hot." He's become pretty sexy though.
