If you had to bring one TV show back for one more season - - a series from any era of television - - and you could see one more final lost season of shows...

What would it be?

(Personally, I'm going classic original series of Star Trek - - I'd love to see the lost fourth season!)

I would have to go with "Veronica Mars." I would give anything for another season or even a batch of episodes just to wrap everything up. Its cancellation was such a travesty.

I would have also loved to have seen more of the underrated "Popular" (which ended on a major cliffhanger that was never resolved) or one-season wonders "Jack & Bobby" and "Kings" (both of which I adored and had a lot of potential).

Las Vegas, that finale was a slap in the face for us.

 (Though I think the series ended pretty well.)

:grrr: That show went one season too long as it is. It was a complete farce in season 2.

Yup. That one was good.

Apart from one-season wonders (and there are many I would have liked to see in their sophomore seasons and more) I think my biggest beef with any cancellation is Showtime's Dead Like Me It was a great show (and it had great ratings for Showtime, even bigger than most of their shows now if I'm not mistaken.

I seriously don't really remember much from it aside from the cliffhanger, which pissed off my 13-year-old self to no end at the time ;)

I always wanted to see another season of Brisco County Jr. Such a great show, but an unfortunately typical 'hard sell' mix of western, action, sci-fi, drama, comedy, and homage episodes to other genres. Plus they stuck it on Friday night when the core audience was at the theater. Those were the days when you had to program your vcr to record something.

Ha, interesting choice.

I don't know... of course I'd like to see another season of shows like 24 or The X-Files, but they would undoubtedly suck. Veronica Mars maybe? But I'm happy with the three seasons.

I'll go with Terminator: TSCC. I'm happy with the ending, it wrapped up that version of the show, but it would have been nice to see where it was going from there.

Kudos for the mention of Dead Like Me. The tv movie would have made me satisfied had they have Mandy Patikan and Laura Harris back. Lots of premium cable shows deserved another season like Rome, Carnivale and Deadwood. They were more entertaining than Sopranos

Sliders where they could have wrapped up what happened to several of the characters.

It had so so much potential and ABC just botched it. One of the most entertaining action shows released over the last few years. The pilot was great, the following episodes ranged from good to very good.

At least the creator had the courtesy to post all the details as to how he has planned for the following seasons to pain out, including the finale.

That was so damn bogus! Didn't the cancellation have to do with Showtime having a beef with the creator or something? It was especially a shame because Season 2 was terrific. A big improvement over the first, IMO. I liked the first, but Season 2 was even better. And that finale episode was just AMAZING!

The official reason given was because DLM was too expensive and canceling that show gave them more money for developing new one. But that was all bullcrap. I think the real reason was behind the scenes conflicts as you said. I mean it took years for them to beat DLM premiere numbers (Shameless finally did it this season). And I know that whenever mentioned the ratings for DLM were strong which would mean it's still among the highest rated Showtime shows ever. But luckily not everything they have planned went to waste. The Piemaker was originally intended as a character on DLM and we did get a wonderful two season run of Pushing Daisies - HEY! Another show I'd like to see back for one more season!

I would say Reaper. Such a classic dark comedy put on the wrong channel in the long run (CW)

Only show I can think of not ending really well was Quantam Leap, very unsatisfying cancellation despite a 20 million final episode, but of shows I would just want more of.

Seinfeld (another 22 episodes would be bliss)

If I could twist your concept, I would erase Seasons 2-4 of Heroes, fire Tim Kring and hire skilled writers who aren't afraid of writing a good story about ordinary people with extraordinary powers. Then bring me another season of Heroes.

Season 2 of Reaper got pretty awesome. Was sad to see it go. Kind of crazy it did too as ratings were respectable. If it were still on it could have been paired up with Supernatural on Fridays.
