 Re: "True Blood" (Season 5)
17 Minutes, the last 10 minutes of last season was ridiculous. Can't wait

 Re: "True Blood" (Season 5)
The premiere was a blast! Pam was hilarious and the last scene made me jump. A lot of interesting storylines seem to be afoot this year.

 Re: "True Blood" (Season 5)
The preview looked intense
I think my favorite clip was of Hoyt dressed all Emo, poor guy can't ever get a break. I did like Pam's nightime pajamas
Good start, but I hate Tara, let alone her as a villain. I thought it might finally be the end for her.

 Re: "True Blood" (Season 5)
I'm not loving this season so far, to be honest.
They need to change their approach to pacing and structure. Bill and Eric's storyline with the Authority is by far the most interesting right now, so I wish they would just devote a full episode to it. Stay where the suspense is.
I groan inside every time I realize another scene with the werewolves is coming. Or another scene of another Jason "character arc" where he realizes he shouldn't be such a man-whore. Only to be a total man-whore again come next season.
Not every character needs to be in every episode. Apologies to the ladies in love with Joe Manganiello and Sam Trammell, but their characters are -boring- right now.

 Re: "True Blood" (Season 5)
The second episode was mostly filler, yes. But do not dare suggest any one of the hot men on the show shouldn't be in an episode! Yum. Especially complaining about the Jason stuff. Not only is Jason great comic relief, but be glad we aren't being subjected to the awfulness of his storyline from season 4 (i.e. being essentially raped by the Hotshot crew).
They've only upped the hotness factor this season with Chris Meloni and Scott Foley, btw.

 Re: "True Blood" (Season 5)
Having Pam become Tara's maker is probably one of the best creative decisions True Blood has had. Opens up a lot of good story possibilities, and given that Pam is one of the show's best characters, I'm all in favor of it.

Good episode last night, except for the return of the fairies (yawn).

 Re: "True Blood" (Season 5)
I wonder where the heck they're going with the Terry sub-plot...
Alcide and Sookie hooking up is pretty messed up but I like them together.

 Re: "True Blood" (Season 5)
Well that answers each season's question of "who will snookie hook up with"
Season is shaping up to be really good, but Lafayette's sub plot is kind of lame. I'm interested to see what happens with the ferries.

 Re: "True Blood" (Season 5)
Child Vampire being given the true death was wonderful mostly because he was a HORRIBLE actor. Painful. And it gave Chris Meloni an opportunity to look creepy covered in blood.
Sookie was the most likable she's been in ages while drunkenly singing and then hooking up with Alcide (we better get major skin out of Joe Manganiello now), even as the conceit of this episode was sort of that everyone hates her now.
The Terry plotline feels so awkwardly shoehorned with the rest of the show that I just sit there and kind of shrug while it happens.

 Re: "True Blood" (Season 5)
The Child Vampire Council Member played as a mediocre version of the pint-sized vamp in Near Dark.

There's no need for the Terri subplot. End it already. Let's focus on the vampires!!

I like the fairies, they're colourful! Maybe some of their sass will rub off on Sookie.

 Re: "True Blood" (Season 5)
I was partly hoping Russel would just die ("the true death"). It would have been way more surprising and thrown the season for a loop.

 Re: "True Blood" (Season 5)
"Hopeless" was a really good episode and all, but I can't be the only one disappointed Chris Meloni's run on the show was apparently so brief. I wanted more of him!

Perhaps you didn't see my MELONI!!! post He was the best part of the season so far. I just don't understand how Russell is that much stronger, unless people betrayed him.
