It looks like if ABC is careful, they have a big new hit on their hands with Grey's Anatomy. Not only did the ratings for it last night improve over the pilot, it held 76% of Desperate Housewives' audience and got considerably higher ratings than Boston Legal was usually getting in the same time period.

#-o I hate to say it, but ABC would be a fool to move Grey's Anatomy from that spot.

It doesn't bother me if they move Boston Legal, I just hope they continue to give it a chance somewhere, it seems to be evolving into much better than when it first started.

Anyway, putting Grey's behind DH will just make it easier for guys to break the DH habit, I can write off the night as chick night and watch or do something else. :)

Lost, Desperate Housewives, Boston Legal (to an extent) and now Grey's Anatomy, on top of other hits this season like Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and quieter, milder successes in Alias and Wife Swap. Not to mention a fairly consistent Friday night schedule. ABC is shaping up well. Now, just some adjustments to Mondays (post MNF), Tuesdays and Thursdays, and ABC is set.

Wife Swap actually started to spring a leak. I'm not sure if ABC plans on bringing it back anytime soon.

Also, Friday may be consistent, but it is not successful. The TGIF comedies (especially Less Than Perfect) are still on the hook for renewal next season.

It's currently the #3 show on television...

Do you honestly think they might not renew it? It's an iron-solid lock.

I know for sure that Hope & Faith is returning next season as it was renewed for its 3rd season.

Malcom in the Middle is still on the air?

Wow. That's awesome for Grey's Anatomy (and of course Desperate Housewives).

Too bad I've missed both episodes so far so I dom't know what to say. Desperate Housewives too.

:(

WOW. ABC has solidified its sunday schedule. Excellent ratings even when Home Edition seemed a tad low, just a bit.

Unless ABC's order of Anatomy was 5 episodes and they will leave it at that till next season, then I'd say keep things the way they are going to be.
But if they are going to continue on the season, then DO NOT change it's time and day. I think they should move Boston Legal to Monday's at 10 and move SuperNanny up, getting rid of The Bachelor.

I don't know why SuperNanny is on so late. Is it assuming parents will have time at ten having put their kids to sleep?
Well, from the show, it seems like it's audience would be up all night. I think Boston Legal on Mondays is good. There isn't too much competition. If SuperNanny can get near 10 million viewers against Medium and CSI: Miami, I'm sure Boston Legal can conjure up at least 10 million, or higher if placed at 9pm, since Raymond is ending this year.

But back to Sunday night....

I don't why Desperate Housewives only 1 week of the season peaked at 27 million and then slid to 23-24 million average. Was it because of the Thanksgivign holiday? A 3 million viewer difference is quite a bit. Nontheless, no one is complaining with its current ratings. I just hope LOST gets a bit more ratings. It seems to be in a slouch after a sudden surge around 20-21 million at the beginning fo the year, and another 2 week break isn't gonna help.

I think it's AMAZING how abc just completely rejuvinated itself this year.

They seriously went from just about ANY scripted or series show above 12 million to 4 bona fide hits and a couple other great rises.
Desperate Housewives: 24 million
Grey's anatomy: 18 million
LOST: 16-17 million
Home Makeover: 16-17 million

Boston Legal: 13 million
ALIAS (with new LOST episodes): 11 million

That's VERY decent. Just about every high profile show they placed out there succeeded. The only one with a huge marketing campaign that's not doing so well is Blind Justice. I don't think Eyes had that great of a marketing style and I really don't think the public was interested before it premiered, so I don't even count that.

Wasn't the 27 million viewed episode the "dead housewife" episode?
