jmovies wrote: Mister Ecks wrote: Cancelled: Lone Star (2 episodes aired) It is surprising. In recent years, especially last year, the networks gave most underperformers quite a bit of opportunity to perform well. Then again, I'm not sure if any show performed as poorly as Lone Star did this week. 3 million in the second half? Beat by Gossip Girl in the 18-49 demo? Yeesh.

Tied. Not beat. There is a difference. It's still embarrassing for FOX though.

Lone Star should have been on USA. TNT. AMC. Or FX. One of the not-quite-HBO/Showtime cable channels.
It never looked right for network TV.

You only have info for preliminary ratings. Actuals put them both at 1.0. Half hours are not available unfortunately, but still. Use official numbers. But since you're using the term people - Lone Star 3.04 million, Gossip Girl 1.82 million (according to preliminary numbers of course).

In fact, Lone Star was a distant second in X ratings last night. It had a mere 0.2, to Gossip Girl's 14.3 rating.

What a shame this has bene cancelled. Was looking forward to it.
Hopefully it can get picked up by another network as doubtful as that is.

Also, "Hellcats" and "One Tree Hill" were both picked up for six additional scripts a week ago as well.

Re: Renewed, Cancelled or Hiatus Bound: 2010 Edition
Production has been halted on NBC's "Outlaw." Eight episodes total have been completed so far, with five left to air. NBC says that they are going to evaluate its performance over the next few weeks before making an official decision, but things aren't looking too good since ratings are atrocious (pretty sure "The Good Guys" is the only show doing worse on the Big Four networks).

Re: Renewed, Cancelled or Hiatus Bound: 2010 Edition
A few updates.
"Brothers & Sisters" has been given an order for 4 additional scripts, which would bring the total number of episodes ordered this season up to 22 (up from its original 18-episode order).
"No Ordinary Family" has been given an order for 4 additional scripts.
"Off The Map," which premieres at midseason, has been given an order for 1 additional script, bringing its total to 14.
"Life Unexpected" has been given an order for 2 additional scripts.

Re: Renewed, Cancelled or Hiatus Bound: 2010 Edition
I'm not keen on script orders. They're usually the "best we can do" approach to shows not doing that well in the ratings. I've rarely seen script orders lead to long lives.

Re: Renewed, Cancelled or Hiatus Bound: 2010 Edition
"Chuck" has supposedly been picked up for a full 22-episode season, and a back nine order is expected shortly. Officially, NBC has picked up full seasons of "The Event," "Outsourced" and "Law & Order: LA." Additional script orders were given to "Chase" and "Undercovers," both for 6. This scares me I'm so worried about NBC's best shows "Parks & Recreation" and "Parenthood." The former better be on the schedule soon. I miss it so much.

Re: Renewed, Cancelled or Hiatus Bound: 2010 Edition
ABC cut the order for V to 10 episodes. Strange considering the gaping holes they need to fill.

There's no way V gets a third season.

ABC shouldn't have renewed it for a second. It will be on My Generation / The Whole Truth levels once it returns I think.

I'd much rather have seen a second season of Flash Forward.
Damn ABC!
