 PARENTHOOD
Starts Tuesday night. Who's watching? I know I will be. I'm excited to see Lauren Graham back on TV. She's fantastic. And I also love Peter Krause.

Definitely watching, at least at the beginning.

 Re: PARENTHOOD
Enjoyed the pilot. I'd give it a B. I'm sure it will get better, like most shows. I loved the part with Graham's character and her son at the gas station.

 Re: PARENTHOOD
This was a pretty solid pilot, all things considered. I bought some of the family dynamics already. It was alternately sweet and heartfelt, but I do hope they amp up the comedy a little bit.
I love Brothers & Sisters (a comparable show) but it started off very weakly. So this is a good beginning.

 Re: PARENTHOOD
Liked it. Hopefully, they don't turn it into another Modern Family by adding the faux-documentary style. It should be its own show.

 Re: PARENTHOOD
Wow, I thought episode #2 was great. The pilot was good but didn't hit the spot in the same way this episode did. My big complaint is that I'm totally not sold on the character of Crosby. I can't tell if it's because Dax Shepard is annoying but he's not connecting like the other siblings are.
The auction scene was great, and the family bonding over disliking that annoying Raquel woman was funny.
Peter Krause and Monica Potter are doing some great work with the anticipation of the son's Asperger's and how to deal with it.
Lauren Graham broke my heart a little bit, both in the job interview scene and pleading for Amber not to be held back. I wasn't sure about her casting after Maura Tierney was forced to drop out but she has done really well so far.

 Re: PARENTHOOD
Way too much talking over one another/arguing in episode 2. If I wanted that, I'd just not turn the TV on and listen to my parents.

Episode 2 was 100% better than 1.
It's getting good.

 Re: PARENTHOOD
Seven episodes in and I like the show. At times it gives off too big of a Brothers & Sisters vibe, especially when the goddamn awful musical montages start, but as the series goes on it tackles different things and is enjoyable on its own right...

 Re: PARENTHOOD
Finished the first season. It's an OK show. It actually has some plots that aren't that common on network TV and I like that not everything is idyllic like in B&S, though I still like that one a bit better. I'll definitely tune in next season.

 Re: PARENTHOOD
Season 2 starts in two weeks, I believe. Probably a dozen or so episodes.

 Re: PARENTHOOD
Have watched the first three episodes. It definitely improved from the pilot. I love it! Will probably pick up Season 1 this week. Amazon has it for just $27 and free shipping. Great deal.

 Re: PARENTHOOD
The second episode was much much much better.
Also is NBC keen on employing all Baldwin brothers to play bosses that seem like cloned Jack Donaghy's on various shows? Or does the gene carry only one mode of acting for them?

 Re: PARENTHOOD
Eeek, another really really mediocre episode. And a series low in the ratings appropriately.

 Re: PARENTHOOD
Anyone watching?
Last Tuesday's episode ("Do Not Sleep with Your Autistic Nephew's Therapist") was probably the best of the entire series so far.
