Superb for both Lost and Alias. Those are Lost's highest ratings of the season, which is amazing considering it is January. Alias also held on to a very good amount of Lost's audience. On the other hand, CSI: NY is slipping alarmingly. It was whomping Law & Order at the beginning of the season, but it now is only getting about half the audience the other two CSI shows do. |

Alias would never have gotten that without Lost. |

Chris wrote: Alias would never have gotten that without Lost. Actually that is not completely true. I don't know where everyone lives but ALIAS 4th season was by far the most heavily advertised TV program in my recent memory. there was a billboard nearly every 3-4 blocks in LA and you couldn't find an entertianment magazine without a gorgeous pic of J.Garner, not to mention some double page spread ads.... Now, I don't know how much that is in millions, but I say the advertising made up about 60% of that rating. However, I do agree that if it were not following LOST, it would never have got such a high rating. So, what is that... 13 million??? |

I doubt it will keep those numbers, but something better than The Bachelor should be good to be a keeper. God, I hope American Idol doesn't kill it. |

As ABC released, they are happy with Alias numbers because it beat Bachelor's in the same time spot even at its lowest 30 minute interval. Plus, ABC owns Alias, so they get more leeway! |

Almost too heavy (I never want to hear that Lenny Kravitz song ever again). I'm not saying I'm not happy for Alias, because it was a great show when I watched it. I just didn't have the time anymore so I faded it out, but it was a good show. And, who doesn't love Jennifer Garner? ![]() |

http://naturalflux7.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1478 for those ratings with figures "Alias" averaged nearly 16 million viewers for the night. "Lost" saw over 21 million and Alias won the 11pm slot in viewers and 1849 again Alias' 18-49 was 6.3, Lost had 8.4. By the way all, can someone give me the 411 on the "American Idol" wednesday thing? Is it permenant or what? |

great for alias overall, but not so great, if you see the dawnfall: (overnight track - 9 p.m.: 13.1/18 - 9:30 p.m.: 11.7/16 - 10 p.m.: 10.5/15 - 10:30 p.m.: 9.8/15), |

I actually think the ratings could improve in weeks to come (Alias), since it wont have to go up against the 10 PM competition (an hour in which less people watch TV at this time of year to begin with), so only the 9 and 9:30 ratings will be averaged. HUGE improvement over the bachelor...i think the 18-49 ratings might be double what The Bachelor got. When Does American Idol premiere? |

American Idol returns January 18th (Tuesday) and January 19th (Wednesday) at 8pm. Or so says the fox website. So for the first bit it will be head to head with Lost. Semifinals begin the week of Feb. 21 so that's when I think the first Wednesday at 9pm show will happen and remain in that time slot for the duration of Idol's run. |

Especially considering the Hour two double-threat. |
