I dont even know if I spelt it right! ![]() Well committed is a new NBC sitcom debuting on the Peacock in the January. The previews look funny, not that original, but more entertaining then most sitcoms in recent memory. You think it can do good, or will it be another flop for NBC? I think that the show will have a good sized audience in its first week(16-21 million), and if its good it will stay pretty constant(14 million viewers a week) and become a candidate for the Must See TV Lineup. But if its bad it will lose steam and be cancelled within 3 months. |

It looks like a very funny show, but I think just like most of NBC's latest attempts at sitcoms, it will be gone after two or three months. I don't think it will grab enough of a regular audience to stay on. |

Is this on Tuesdays? If so, it's after Scrubs, so I doubt any huge ratings will be seen at all. And, can someone give us a description? I'm usually up on the fall shows, but midseason is a different story. |

It premiers January 4th 2005. It airs on tuesdays at 9:30 Heres the description from NBC.com "Committed" is the latest comedy with a new edge from creators/executive producers Eileen Heisler and DeAnn Heline ("Roseanne," "Murphy Brown" and "Ellen") that casts an off-kilter eye on the bizarre whirlwind courtship of two opposites who attract each other despite outrageous circumstances. Brilliant yet neurotic Nate (Josh Cooke, "Century City") is a tightly wound ball of phobias until he accidentally unravels when he meets eccentric yet eternally upbeat Marni (Emmy Award winner Jennifer Finnigan, NBC's "Crossing Jordan"). As fearful Nate and fearless Marni awkwardly begin their mating dance -- amid the eclectic craziness of New York -- their relationship's yin and yang somehow match despite a closet-full of obstacles. Tom Poston ("Newhart"), Darius McCrary, ("Family Matters") and Tammy Lynn Michaels ("The L Word") also star. |
