Hard to tell what that would translate to theatrically but given how well the re-release did Oct. 2020 almost certainly would have pulled an Austin Powers 2 and out opened the original's total run of $39.5M. Probably also would have resonated more with family audiences than Lyle and would play as a Halloween + family film so could have pulled $150M though we'll never know...

Does Peacock have their first buzz worthy show? Mystery of the week show Poker Face, created by Rian Johnson, starring Natasha Lyonne, with 86 on metacritic right now. At the very least, streaming has been overdue to revive the case of the week detective genre but actually trying unlike the network procedurals, so maybe this can at least inspire some copycats on better services. It looks like he made it a "how catch em" instead of "whodunnit" meaning the killer is shown to audience at the start of every episode and then she has to figure it out, this is a nice way to differentiate from the procedural stink.

Thank god a high quality network is doing it. I'm picturing an Amazon Harry Potter series with its showing off visual effects focus, mediocre writing and overall redundant retelling of the series - Nobody needs that.
