Excellent episode. One of the best tribals ever. Can't wait for the finale. Though is this the first time the finale isn't on Sunday?

Seasons 1-3, 5, and 28-present have not aired their finales on Sunday.

Dan getting voted out was the best moment of the season. I have never seen such a gross, condescending prick in 30 seasons of this show. Still rooting for Mike to take the win, but if it can't be him, Mama C has staked her claim.

And yes, Dan's Ponderosa video is gold. How can someone possibly possess that little self-awareness? It's mind boggling!

I'm confused. People keep saying its Mike or bust, but what did Carolyn do to be despicable?

She's not despicable, she's just been a bit of a wet blanket for much of the season. She has played a solid game and would be a fairly deserving winner, though.

Mike deserves to win for making this happen.

So glad Mama C slayed Rodney in that fire challenge.

Can Mike and Carolyn actually tie in the final vote 4-4?

Mike: Hali, Joe, Jenn, Shirin
Carolyn: Tyler, Dan, Sierra, Rodney

wtf? lol

Dan will vote for Mike in the end, I bet, however begrudgingly.

WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so happy for Mike. Challenge beast, and a dynamic player who had to play with his back to the wall for weeks. Get it!

I'm honestly shocked Mama C evidently only got one vote from Sierra. I do not feel good about the fact she and Will tied, gross. But hey...GO MIKE! His win almost makes the strife of suffering through Rodney, Dead Fish and Disgusting Dan this entire season worth it...almost.

By the way, Dan amused me for the first time with his hilariously exaggerated reaction shots on the jury. What an ass, lol.

Joe annoyed me a bit for the first time with his jury "question." Still dig him, though.

Dan getting absolutely SHREDDED TO PIECES by Probst was amazing.

Will and his dumb non-apology and his wife heckling Shirin from the audience. Classy.

This reunion is really uncomfortable tbh. Hope we can wash away some of the bitterness with the reveal of the next cast!

Very satisfied with Mike's win. He earned it and I'm sure we'll see him again in a future season.

I too am shocked that Carolyn only got one vote. Her game was 1000% superior to Will's and the fact that she has to share the runner-up spot with him feels wrong. At least we got to see Shirin decimate him in her final speech. I also enjoyed Jenn telling the jury to get over themselves.

Watching Jeff scalp Dan in front of the live audience, complete with the raw footage reel, was sublime.

Genuinely excited for next season, despite the absence of T-Bird and Shane "I will come to your apartment and kill you" Powers. Had those two made it over Woo and Kelley Wentworth, it would have been the perfect cast. As it stands, this is still a pretty damn great cast.

Random great moments:
-Rodney showing his true bro-love by dressing up exactly as his long lost love Joaquin.
-Will bringing back the dead fish drop as he goes down the slide
-Dan getting destroyed by Probst, once again.

Lesson to Dan and any future contestants: if you don't want your delusional behavior and words to get thrown back at you, don't go around badmouthing the show and how you've been a victim of a "bad edit" in media interviews after you get voted off. If nothing else, Probst is fiercely protective of Survivor and will make you look like an absolute idiot if you trash it.

I'm so disappointed that T-Bird and Shane didn't make the cast for next season. T-Bird's reaction was heartbreaking. I really hope the producers rectify this and get both of them on a future returnee season. How they didn't make the cut over the likes of Kelley and Woo is beyond me. The recency bias definitely helped those two make it on.

Overall though, the cast is great. Kind of surprised America didn't totally mess it up. Should make for an entertaining season.

Also I'm glad Carolyn is not coming back. I never liked her. She always seemed a bit smug to me. And considering that Will got a vote from Rodney I don't see Carolyn and Will tied. Rodney's vote was always going to go to Will. It was a throwaway vote.

What I don't get is why Jenn and Shirin voted Mike in the end. It seemed from their talk that Carolyn has their vote. I thought the final tribal was unpredictable despite the outcome.

Whaaa??Jenn's whole speech was how everyone should get over themselves and vote for Mike.

Shirin's speech thanked Mike for being there for her, but all she actually said was that his action there didn't guarantee him her vote - it was going to down to best game play (which he had anyways).
