Re: The Walking Dead (Season 6)
I don't see how anyone could have thought Glen was dead, of course it was a fake out. As for Carl, of course he wont get killed.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 6)
For all the talk of being bland and mediocre, I thought the episode was solid. As a midseason finale or otherwise. Of course I would have hoped for more bloodshed or more anything, but a lot of storylines progressed. And we lost Deanna, who I thought was given one of the better sendoffs of the series. Not to mention my favorite ever line after being bitten: "Well... shit."
I do hope Jessie's sons bite it next. Talk about buzzkills.

Pretty great very last scenes. Deanna and then that stupid kid calling for his mom in the middle of a herd. DEAD, KID.

Um, I'm freaking sick of Morgan. The guy is crazy. He trumped that dumbass white guy who was reading the history book while wasting lighter fluid in the garage. That guy is useless as shit but at least he's not crazy. Carol was spot on and right to try and get that guy.
Sick of Morgan. He can die whenever. I don't give a crap anymore. How can you be so delusional? I can't take it!!!
Carl. Hiding the fact that other kid tried to kill him. What is going on with this show. Everyone keeps sparing the bastards who try to kill them and it only comes back to haunt them. I know this show is about zombies but after everything these characters have been through its like only Carol is the sane person among them all. Good god. That's sick.
Finally that kid at the end. I'm tired of him too. What on earth is he thinking asking for his mom when they are supposed to be silent.
This midseason finale was frustrating as hell. Who writes nonsense like this? The characters are becoming unbelievable in their action. This was so disappointing. Rinse and repeat nonsense when this resumes. Hopefully Carol wakes up before Morgan and bashes his psychotic head in. Now that'd be a trip.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 6)
Caught up now, another entertaining and solid TWD half season. I really liked the Morgan flashback episode and the 2nd episode of the season
I'm surprised at the lack of deaths this season though. The Abraham/Eugene/Tara/Rosa foursome has mostly served their purpose and can probably start losing members soon. Without people caring to protect him anymore Eugene's incompetence should have done him in by now and Rosa has always been filler.
Killing Glenn for real would've been fine

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 6)
Prior to seeing the premiere, I read many early reviews that said the show had finally gone too far, which led me to think something was happening beyond what I knew was happening with 100% certainty (based on the comic).
I thought it all worked out well enough, though the horde resolution didn't really work for me. I also wasn't crazy about the direction by Nicotero. But there were enough cool and funny moments to make up for any other shortcomings. I'm happy the group is back together.
Bring on Lucille and Negan!

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 6)
I thought the very end of the zombie killing, with them all slashing against a black backdrop was fantastic and one of my favorite zombie killing moments of ANYTHING zombie related.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 6)
Aside from a bit of disappointment in losing Jessie (of all the characters this show could lose, they lost the hot one!? Come on!), that was definitely quite the episode. I didn't watch till today so I was plenty hyped about the events of the episode.
The killing at the end diverged a bit into the comically gratuitous but that's OK.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 6)
I found it rather dull. Not bad, but...oddly sleepy despite the high level of zombie peril.
Both Jessie and the Benedict Samuel character (Morgan's captured Wolf) died too soon and without much of a reason beyond, "Death! Your move, Game of Thrones!"

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 6)
He's not wrong about the deaths though. Even Negan's spokesman at the start. He should have been a recurring character. They basically killed off three solid characters and left us with a good baker's dozen of ridiculously unnecessary characters just waiting to get offed.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 6)
There are 13 unnecessary characters? Negan doesn't have any more spokespeople?

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 6)
I saw a whole group of people last night that I barely remember seeing before. I'm sorry, but there are too many characters right now. And a lot more than one would think are "bigger" characters. Too many "A" characters. Negan better bring some major bloodshed.
And the Negan spokesman (wish he had a name to use) was a fun character.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 6)
I thought that too, but she really didn't do anything for Glenn and her biggest plots involved Daryl, her capture which he wasn't a part of, and her suicide attempt. Now that I think of it I'm not sure they even said a word to each other over the course of the series. Which is funny. Who else has been around a while and never talked to each other. Daryl and Eugene, Michone and Carol?

That was most harassed and unexpected thing ever though. I'm sure Negan has multiple war packs out there. That guy was too fucking soft to carry over. I especially loved how they hyped that scene for almost 3 months.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 6)
I loved the RPG opening, though I can understand the criticism that Daryl managing to kill that guy in complete silence but it being enough of a fight of him to get cut was a little silly.
I'm glad that covering themselves with guts turned out badly this time, so at least there's an explanation for why they don't do it all the time

Aaron, Spencer, Enid, Denise, that black guy, 2-3 other people maybe? The Negan spokesman was in... 15 minutes of show? He had like 10 lines. You must have a low bar for "fun". (probably why you watch this, ZING)
