 Re: True Blood | Season 4 | June 26th
Sookie and Eric. Yes, please. It's still so odd how Anna Paquin and Alexander Skarsgard have so much more chemistry than real-life couple Paquin and Stephen Moyer.
Speaking of Bill, Douchey In Power Bill is an improvement over Douchey Controlling Boyfriend Bill, I guess. His scenes with Pam were amusing, although I wanted to slap her when she accidentally let the Eric thing slip.
I know some people hate Tara but I think she brings a much-needed "human" perspective to the show. And she really had every right to freak out at Sookie like she did. She raised many good points and is totally The Voice Of Reason right now.
lol@the return of Lettie Mae and her tamborine. "What do you mean you people?"
Thank freaking GOD Tommy killed his disgusting parents. Although I guess this means that he's a skinwalker now, which can't be good.
Jason's sex dream with Jessica and Hoyt mixed in was oddly hilarious.
I don't know if I entirely trust Jesus. I feel like Lafayette is going to be hurt somehow.
Fiona Shaw is, as usual, so over-the-top as Marnie. It's really quite entertaining. "You're not just going to leave me in the middle of nowhere...hello?"

I'm glad you people are finally catching up with the campy, funny, charming awesomeness that is True Blood Season 4. Took you long enough.
That being said I'm guessing TB has one Emmy in the bag for next season's Emmy. Pam is looking horrifically awesome. Great make-up.

It's very Death Becomes Her-esque.

This show isn't very good. I feel like I tolerate it more than anything. To enjoy the Sookie/Bill/Eric stuff I have to wade through Jessica and Hoyt and Lafeyette and Jesus and Jason and...
Oi. I wish this show was 22 minutes long. Just get to the chase.

Oi. I wish this show was 22 minutes long. Just get to the chase. Glad I'm not the only one here who doesn't get wood over everything the show does I want to like it still, as I was a fan of the relatively grounded first year and the second was pretty good, but last season things seem to have gone off the rails and evidently there's no going back. Why in the world are Arlene and Terry getting a story of their own? And we're dealing with Alcide's pack politics now? WHY??! Andy's V addiction stuff is annoying to the point I was hoping Tommy might just kill him this last episode, in which case Tommy might have skyrocketed to top five favorite characters for me--killing his parents AND Andy in one episode is thumbs up material. The vampires VS witches stuff with a side of Sookie/Eric/Bill feels like the meat of things, and I'm mostly liking it so far, but the further we get from that the more I could go on for many negative adjectives. At least Breaking Bad is returned with--no surprise here--nary a misstep in sight.

 Re: True Blood | Season 4 | June 26th
Great episode after last week's slightly disappointing one. Really glad Tommy killed the parents. First because I wanted their side done, and now it makes Tommy interesting. And I agree this is heading towards him skinwalking.
Watch out for that Louis guy from the end (Peter Macdissi). He played Olivier on Six Feet Under, which is one of my favorite supporting performances in TV history. I bet he ends up a huge player.

 Re: True Blood | Season 4 | June 26th
So many good things in last night's episode (for example, Sam Trammell totally nailed Tommy's mannerisms and stuff). And I adored the Jessica/Jason scene.
The only thing that's snoozeworthy right now is Jesus and Lafayette's Mexican Adventure. Jesus sure is pretty but he sure is boring too, and he's making Lafayette dull as well. Enough.

 Re: True Blood | Season 4 | June 26th
That was the best episode of the season so far. That was Jason's best episode by far since the 2nd season. Things look pretty set up for a good one from this point on.
I think the biggest weakness in the show is that the real Sam hasn't been interesting since Season 2. They need to get him involved in Sookie and Tara's storylines again. So I think it helped that he wasn't in this one.

I thought Sam Tramell's impression of Tommy was insanely good. I even thought they altered his voice at one point. My favorite episode so far as well.

 Re: True Blood | Season 4 | June 26th
Well you hear a gunshot. I doubt they killed Jason and Jessica in the same one. Most likely Jason shot him and is able to tackle Jess back inside right when she opens the door. Pretty great episode, though Tara is killing me!

Wow, things are moving quick. Didn't expect a "resurrection" til the finale. Excited to see where this season can go next.

 Re: True Blood | Season 4 | June 26th
That was the craziest episode ever. So much has happened and the ending ridiculous. And that dream from Jessica may have been the craziest dream sequence yet.
Can't wait for next week.

 Re: True Blood | Season 4 | June 26th
I honestly find every storyline compelling now.
The Lafayette/ghost/baby subplot is becoming quite creepy.

 Re: True Blood | Season 4 | June 26th
An all right episodes last night, but not as good as the past few. The ghost/baby sequence came to a touching conclusion. The dream sequence was stupid. I'm tired of Andy's V addiction.
The werewolves didn't seem too surprised to have a skin walker in their midst.

 Re: True Blood | Season 4 | June 26th
What a lame ending. And after last week's lame ending, that's saying something.
Not that I ever had anything against him before, but I like Bill a lot this season. His "Shut the fuck up, werewolf" line from near the beginning was enjoyable as Alcide was being a moron. What was his plan, exactly? Run through the woods, away from the vampire blood that can save Sookie, towards Merlotte's or something?
I was hoping on Tommy killing Marcus, as there's another genius I could do without having to deal with, but unfortunately Tommy's goal was evidently to get his ass kicked. So this Marcus is having relationship trouble (the trouble being that it's over) and his solution is to menace the woman until she wants him back? Sounds wise. And I know tons and tons of people like that exist in the real world, but as I'm watching True Blood and not True Life: Spousal Abuse I'd like to see the guy eaten or eviscerated or anything that results in no further screen time.
My eyes spend half/a third of the episodes now rolling so far back into my head thanks to the what feel like endless side-stories and wholly uninteresting "developments" I really wonder how much more I can take. I want to like it, but I'm finding it increasingly difficult to when I spend every other scene (sometimes a few in a row...) just wishing someone would kill *insert useless/annoying character here* already.
Since nobody currently on the show seems to have the will/ability to kill I'd love it if Russell finally reappeared to trim the fat. Sam, Tara, Andy, Hoyt, Arlene, Terry, Alcide, Debbie, Marcus, and a few others whose names escape me but could use a throat-ripping-out. Tommy can live, but only if he starts getting naked again.
Oh, and Tara should just shoot Antonia. The chick obviously needs a minute to work her magic on you unless you're a vampire, so perhaps when she returns to Moon Goddess a bullet with her name on it could await. Of course it won't be, though, as this is True Blood so the season's villain can't be vanquished until the first half of the finale.
