Nice nostalgia trip with Dana Carvey et al, but still a crappy episode.

Miley was a surprisingly decent host last night. Anyone watch?

I think I'll always just love the Le Jeunes de Paris skit for being so fucking random and weird.

And I also loved Kenan as Raven-Symone in the Disney Channel School of Acting sketch.

Last night's episode was very good for a change - - all thanks to host and musical guest Elton John. He really exceeded my expectations of his comic ability, especially with the opening monologue and the "Knights of the Realm" sketch.

I only watch SNL these days when there's a good band.

That was a horribly unfunny SNL. They were trying so hard to capitalize on the OBL stuff, but none of it was funny or interesting. The Republican debate had a lot of wasted potential.

Only mildly amusing parts to me were the digital short and Stefan.

I was desperate to watch the show again this year when Emma Stone hosted, and I've watched many of the shows up to Dana Carvey, but it brought me back to why I stopped watching it a few years ago. Can't stand to watch it anymore. I'll probably check out Timberlake and Gaga.

I might have considered the season finale a good SNL episode if it had a shred of originality in it.

Sure, it was funny, but then it was funny the first time they did all those skits - - couldn't they write a little something new? Even the second sequel to Dick in a Box seemed half-hearted at best.

Luckily, Justin Timberlake and Lady Gaga are so freaking charming they can carry this regurgitation. Lady Gaga is very good at the skits and I look forward to seeing more of her acting side in the coming years. Unfortunately, her first song wasn't particularly good, and the second one was that Madonna remix. Justin Timberlake's (Not a) Song was great though.

As a longtime SNL fan, I nonetheless look forward to Season 37...

God the sequel to Mother lover was actually pretty awful. Considering how great the Captain Jack was, I expected more.

I thought the Captain Jack one was godawful myself.

The finale wasn't bad. Better than the recent episodes I've seen. I've really come to like Timberlake and Gaga was fun. I liked her inclusion in the sketches.
