I would have waited until she made me pudding before I beat her with the bat.

My, Bongo was just a little bitty German Shepherd, and nowhere near as handsome as my boy, Ringo.

Did you see the first or second episode where Susan inadvertantly caused Bongo to swallow a key? Or, at least, I think it was a key.
Anyway.
Oh, Susan.

Oh, Susan.
No, I didn't start watching until about episode 5 after I'd heard so much raving about the show.

No, no, no! It's all a set-up by that George fool.
He's the one who's been tampering with Rex's medicine. Bree hasn't done anything.
Also, Lynette's going back to work! Maybe she'll stop acting like a bitch all the time now that she's not attending to her bratty kids.

Did I miss something that George did?
I figured you'd love that scene with Lynette.

George has been switching Rex's pills for at least 9 or 10 episodes (he is the Van De Kamp's pharmacist, after all). That's why Rex has been so sick all the time lately.

I don't know how I missed it for 9-10 episodes. I had no idea what he was doing.

Rex is dead!
I hate George. I hope Bree gets some revenge and kills that weasel.

Um, yeah, I think that was unquestionably the best episode of the season.
Marcia Cross' acting after finding out Rex died was very powerful.
I sort of could already tell Mike was Zana's father, but...
Wow. Mary Alice.

Perhaps I was just expecting too much but that finale left me underwhelmed.
Only Bree's breakdown at the table impressed me. I like all the stuff it possibly set up for next season, but if I take it a single 44 minute show, I wasn't impressed.

Those new neighbors are a bit...strange. I wonder what their story is.
The Mary Alice story was great.
I expected a mind blowing cliffhanger. The episode made me excited about next season, but with so many guns present, I was expecting one to go off.

I think the letdown may have been in the cliffhanger. You know Zana isn't going to do anything to Mike.
I still can't believe Rex is dead just like that...I loved him!
Well, sort of.

Then she would go to jail .
Tonight's episode was solid. I'm looking forward to the second season.

Very good episode. Poor Bree, the note that Rex wrote was so touching, my sister cried, and she finally shows emotion. I love her and Susan the most. Overall one of the best episodes. Can't wait to see what happens to Mike.

Having not watched all of the shows.
Is it positive that he is dead?
Didn't we just see him writing the note and then the phone call.
Wouldn't they call her down to tell her plus give her the note rather than just making that call.
I am wondering if it is some kind of con on the wife - the one everyone assumes was poisoning him.

Great finale. Closed enough questions, with leaving some open for next season.
Overall, I am satisfied.

I agree with various statements made in the posts above.
It was a solid episode.
Yet, it was a bit underwhelming for the finale.
It was not the best episode, but for not too much action it did alot! It really set the show in a diferent direction.
For those who didn't know Mike is Zach's dad, go back a few pages, I actually was the first one to mention the possibility more than a month ago. A friend of mine came to the same conclusion after that key episode (forgot which one now) so I'm surprised most others didn't figure it out and I say that because I'm usually slow with these things and it was almost blatantly obvious.
Marcia Cross' performance was great. I cannot believe Rex is dead. As much as I didn't want him to die, I give props to the confidence in writing him off.
Every single housewife has something new for next season and it's very rare that you see that.
I am open and fine with the addition of a new housewife but I am skeptical about how blatant the reason behind the introduction of this new character may be: to bring another mystery to the show. If this is the case, then it was obvious this was a short circuit series as in they didn't have a large scheme in mind; they had a season's worth of mystery and now they need something else. If the alternative was either a long drawn out version of this very season's mystery over a few seasons or the resolution and then a mediocrely written show for the rest of the seasons, then I would choose this. Basically the only thing I am saying out of all this ramble is that it is a little discomforting knowing that they didn't have much in it after one year and they have to invite new characters to bring in new secrets.
I could be wrong, the new family could very well be connected to the Wysteria Lane community and it will just unveil itself. We will just have to see.
Gabrielle is coming off as a real bitch and I am losing interest in her character. They seem to provide us with little hope that she might actually have a heart, but then they provide 5 times that amount telling us what a bitch she is.
I wonder what susan is going to do when she finds out Mike is Zach's father.
I wonder what Bree will do when she finds out George was the culprit.
I wonder how Lynette will handle her job and being away from her kids, let's see if everyone hates Tom now!
I wonder what Carlos is going to do when he finds out it's not his child.
I'd love to review the entire season as well as other shows' season this year as well and I'll try to do it before I leave for Armenia on Wednesday.

God. Can't believe Rex is dead. I hope George gets what he deserves early next season... Hmph.
I agree that it was a little underwhelming but a very fine episode none the less, can't wait to rewatch the whole season when the DVDs come out.

Oh don't worry guys, I'd bet money Rex isn't really dead. In a soap opera people aren't dead till you see them buried and even then sometimes they find a way to cheat death. All we know is that Bree got a phone call saying that her husband is dead. He may be but if he was, I would have expected more of a scene of the doctors trying to revive him or something.
The writers have 4 months to come up with a way that he isn't really dead. For example, Bree could have been imagining it because of all the stress she was under.
It was way too dark an episode, I don't think this will help the popularity of the show. It was just too grim and serious all the time. Susan was such a wimp for not bolting out of the house when Edie was at the door. Sure she might have got shot but the risk was better than the risk of staying put inside as a captive.
Still it was pretty well written overall, I admire the professionalness of this show, how they really seem to put in the effort.
