I think the ratings might be slightly lower tonight than in previous weeks, due only to the Elvis miniseries airing opposite on CBS.

I'm not sure how well that's going to do. I've seen very little promotion.

The Girls of Wisteria Lane will wipe the floor with Elvis. Well... not really. I think we all know that many shows can co-exist in one timeslot, especially the Housewives and any CBS TV-Movie that performs well. Remember last week? Everything did very well, and the Housewives still had one of its best performances. Now, if this Elvis movie REALLY surprises and pulls in over 25 million viewers (which I highly, highly doubt), then there might be a difference.

It's all I've seen on those infotainment shows this week, Elvis this and Elvis that. CBS today played the promo for it at every commercial in the Golf. If 'Locusts' can do reasonable numbers I think Elvis can do pretty good numbers. Not saying it will eat away at DH, it's just a possible cause of possible lower ratings.

DH managed to take down the Grammies and the Golden Globes; two programs that typicaly attract around 25 million viewers AND score huge numbers with women 18-49 (DH's primary demographic). Since the Elvis biopic is on CBS and is, well, about Elvis, I think it'll probably skew more eldery and attaract more men then women. I could see both DH and Elvis doing very well oposite each other.

I agree, but only after Edie gets some more love. She even stole that scene from Bree tonight.

Agree with you there, she was fantastic with Paul near the end, asking him for a cookie was priceless.
I found this whole episode rather well done, especially the Bree/Rex and Susan/Mike storylines. I really felt bad for Bree when Rex brushed off their Italian vacation, Bree looked so disappointed. I'm glad that Susan and Mike seemed to have glossed over their differences long enough to get back together, I find Susan much more likable when not moping. Also a positive was the leaving of Susan's Mother, long time coming. I'd like to see Julie more though, her good news, bad news spin was hilarious.
Next week looks good too.

Bree not believing Rex is having a heart attack looks interesting.
I've been waiting for another "yes, well, I feel badly about that" type incident from her since the pilot.

Felicia rocks so hard, I've been saying all along "Do NOT mess with Felicia", Paul learned that tonight.

Ugh, the cassette I was using to record tonight's episode ran out of tape right after Gabrielle went upstairs to fetch Carlos after speaking with Jon. Can somebody please give me the lowdown of what happened after [-o< I've allready fallen behind by missing all but the last 15 minutes of last week's ep. #-o

Hmmm... tonight was alright. The entire episode was really in the last 10 minutes.
It was good though. Maybe I'm beginning to expect too much from every episode.
Felicia was good though. She played really well. I loved it when she took out the knife, that was good.
You know as boring as Susan is when she is moping and as much as people might hate her ditsiness... she does act pretty good, even her crying. She played very well tonight. I really wonder what the finale is gonna be.
Spoiler Alert>>>>>>I hope they don't have the big thing be figuring out Mike is Zach's dad because alot of us figured that out almost a month ago.>>>>>>>>>End Spoilers
Lynette was interesting too. I'm glad they are finally giving her some type an arc but I don't like how it ended with her, all happy and fine. And I don't get it. Did Tom cheat on her or was that "bad thing" he did that he was telling his dad months ago just hiring his ex-girlfriend??? I think out of all the characters, it's sad that the least emphasis, least focused, and least liked story (Lynette and Tom) is actually the most relatable and tangible to real life.
Edie was great as always. It's always a plus for the night when you see her in next week's preview.

Very solid episode. I am constantly amazed by how this show can keep delivering twist after twist, and keep the show very interesting and entertaining. I loved the bit with Felicia and Paul. The part when she told him "did you let me say goodbye to my sister", that was brilliant, and well timed. I was afraid Paul was going to murder here, but luckily he didn't. Lynette got more interesting, and I must say I'm really starting to like her character a lot more. Susan is becoming more likeable too, and I loved the part when she just runs up to Mike and starts kissing him. Bree was good, but nothing really memorable tonight. Edie had very little screen time, but her scenes were excellent. Gabrielle was hilarious tonight, and her character is getting more and more interesting every episode. Next weeks episode looks to be a very good one. I cannot wait!

Accoring to overnights, against the ELVIS movie on CBS, Desperate Housewives gained yet AGAIN.
IF overnights are correct, then it passed 26 million viewers. It's exactly how I thought it was going to be. It's going to keep increasng every week until the finale.
If next week inches even further, even if it doesn't hit 27 million, I am very confident the Finale will hit near 30 million.

Yep May 22
Actually I just found out the Survivor Finale will air this Sunday.
I think it should drop Housewives ratings to around 21-23 million and Surivor could overtake it by a million or so viewers.

I'm not sure about that; the finale of Survivor: Vanuatu was a distant second when it went up against Housewives. I mean, I know that I *personally* will watch the finale of Palau (I didn't watch the snoozer edition of Vanuatu), but...yeah.
Sunday is going to be busy for me, TV wise. I'm planning on watching the Survivor finale and taping Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy and Family Guy. Blech, so much stuff.

A very solid episode. Nice to see the new neighbors arrive, as well as the writers finally realizing that Edie can actually be worked into the script...
Bree is cold hearted. She was just making the bed so calmly...hehe
The finale looks to be a good one, and I hope it lives up to how they were billing it. The mystery is solved, and a huge cliffhanger. That sounds good to me!!!
