I had kind of always thought NBC would only renew one of Parenthood and Revolution. So I guess we'll see.

I'll miss Community dearly. Though it is hilarious that this will end up being Dan Harmon's send off to the series.

Re: Renewed, Cancelled or Hiatus Bound: 2013-2014 Edition
Both "Nashville" and "Parenthood" are being held up because ABC and NBC respectively are trying to get both shows to make budget cuts. Apparently if "Parenthood" does make it, it will be for a 13-episode or less final season (I'll take it!) and with "Nashville" the debate is over whether it should be a 13 or 22-episode order.
Re: Renewed, Cancelled or Hiatus Bound: 2013-2014 Edition
No way Parenthood kills off a grandparent now

I'll be very OK with a final shortened season for Parenthood, I just want a proper wrapup. Sucks the cast/producers are being held hostage with pay cuts but...
Looks like Nashville will come back, just a matter of how many episodes.

Re: Renewed, Cancelled or Hiatus Bound: 2013-2014 Edition
Deadline is now saying that a decision has to be made on "Parenthood" before the end of the day and the two sides are at an impasse - NBC wants 9 episodes instead of the originally proposed 13 now.
Re: Renewed, Cancelled or Hiatus Bound: 2013-2014 Edition
Sounds like the same thing going on with Nashville. ABC only wants 13 episodes.

That's basically their way of saying that even if they do continue the shows, the showrunners better wrap them up next season.

BTW, I think Bryan Fuller would be very smart to give "Hannibal" a real ending next season because I strongly doubt it will go further.

While the ratings remain low, its audience has remain very steady. I could see it somewhat grow more in the ratings. People seem to say the second season is much better than the first.

Yay, Nashville has been renewed for a full 22 episode season.
Now I just have to hope NBC and the cast of Parenthood reach an agreement.

"Dracula" is officially canceled.
"Parenthood" is literally the last show we don't know the fate of.

"Cougar Town" has been renewed for a sixth and final season!!!!
Re: Renewed, Cancelled or Hiatus Bound: 2013-2014 Edition
The Crazy Ones is one of the biggest missed opportunities of the season, and perhaps the past few seasons. Had potential to be great, occasionally came close but was cursed on being the network for multi-cam sitcoms.

Re: Renewed, Cancelled or Hiatus Bound: 2013-2014 Edition
Not official, but looking very strong. Apparently, reliable sources have said that NBC has reached an agreement with the cast for a sixth and final season of Parenthood! I hope this is true!!!!!!!
Quote:
No word from NBC yet but I hear that the cast of Parenthood have reached an agreement with NBC, paving the way to a 13-episode sixth and final season. With everyone willing to bring the beloved show to a proper conclusion, I hear there was a compromise on all sides. The actors had been asked to go down from 13 to 9 episodes, with each appearing in as few as 9 of the final 13 episodes. I hear the final count will be somewhere in the middle.
Also, FOX renewed Family Guy for a 14th season according TVMOJoe on Twitter and ABC has renewed Last Man Standing for a fourth season.

Whew.
A bit disappointed The Crazy Ones was canceled but the writing was on the wall. Kinda shocked The Mentalist got a reprieve.
A final season of Cougar Town, yay!
And re: the Parenthood cast and NBC reaching an agreement. YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. All I wanted was a final season to wrap it up right.

It was reported somewhere that WB was giving away The Mentalist to CBS at a lowered license fee. It pays off as it has good distribution worldwide I guess. Two networks are showing it here.

Re: Renewed, Cancelled or Hiatus Bound: 2013-2014 Edition
Well, I hope TBS can save Suburgatory because Deadline reported that
Quote:
As TBS announced today a sixth and final season for Cougar Town, several other comedies are attempting, like Cougar Town, to find a new home after being cancelled or passed over at the broadcast networks. I hear Warner Bros. TV’s Suburgatory, which is three seasons into its run the way Cougar Town was when if was facing cancellation at ABC and moved to TBS, is exploring other options for the quirky comedy, cancelled by on Thursday by ABC, with sibling TBS among the possibilities. Similarly, I hear 20th Century Fox TV is determined to work hard on finding a new home for Friends with Better Lives, which was cancelled by CBS today after a short midseason run. 20th TV also is said to be shopping the Kevin Hart comedy pilot starring Romany Malco, which came very close to a series order at ABC. The network instead went with the ABC Studios’ produced Black-ish starring Anthony Anderson on Thursday, with the project’s showrunner Larry Wilmore announcing a day later that he would depart to host a show on Comedy Central.
