That's very irresponsible. I got the impression that she had finally stopped globetrotting and was living in NYC again. But that changes nothing Ted+Robin = ridiculously bad, it could not, and would never work.

Re: How I Met Your Mother - The Final Season
I feel like they were going to end it at the train station scene, but then pretty much everyone knew the mother was going to die so they just threw in the final ending to add a final twist. Ted is horribly edited between the scenes with the kids as well. and Colbie obviously was filming the new CA or Avengers film and her wig is ridiculously bad as a result. Last Two seasons in general were horribly written and don't go with well with the rest of the series at all, even more so than the first.
My real opinion of the ending twist: Ted is all alone in chicago and has never been talking to his kids, but his cats. Robin and Barney are happily married and Ted dies alone, but tells how he met the cat's mother who had a litter of 50, then they eat him as he dies. The end. That would have been a better ending.

It still sucks that this disagreeable ending is going to be how a lot of people remember the show. I wish it wouldn't taint its legacy overall.

Re: How I Met Your Mother - The Final Season
Yes! I was right all along! Ted and Robin are together and everything is right. Sorry Christina Miloti, you were great but there is no standing in the way of the inevitable.
I was dead wrong on abandoning HIMYM earlier in the season. I still feel those first three episodes were very poor, but it turned it around like the very next episode. Jason Segal not being able to film on was still sucking things down, and led to the creation of the Daphne character in the first place. They wisely centered the show around past characters to cover it up, but it still wasn't the same dynamic. However, even she got a little bit of redemption before being booted off the show (thank you again). It took me five days to binge through the entire season and it would have been sooner if the Undertaker hadn't lost at Wrestlemania.
The quality of the last half of the season, after Marshall comes back, was near-equal to the early seasons. And they ended it perfectly.

Re: How I Met Your Mother - The Final Season
Oh and I totally cried. Sue me. I'm so shocked they got the ending right. Christina was so adorable that even I was considering stepping off the Ted/Robin ship. I certainly didn't want him to steal her away from Barney. Yet I had never really considered divorce a possibility. Ted/Robin is my new favorite T.V. relationship. Sorry Fry and Leela, but you did get two lifetimes together. Ted/Robin barely get half of one, it'll still be worth it.
And the show should have really been called How I Met Your MOTHERS! BOOM! I'll miss it.

Oh you are so so wrong. The Ted/Robin train left the station a long time ago and never came back. But they forced it to come back and only hardcore Ted/Robin shippers can be happy with this shitty decision.

Re: How I Met Your Mother - The Final Season
Y'all were blinded. I tried to tell you all along that the entire show was about Ted and Robin, but nobody listened. The marriage to Barney was only a testament to how awesome Robin was. To hold him down for three years, not be cheated despite long absences and then end the marriage herself would have been beyond belief at the start of the show. Yet, because we saw these events through the eyes of Ted, we are Ted, no matter how big of a bitch he can be. Using that logic, the only acceptable solution is Ted and Robin being together.

Re: How I Met Your Mother - The Final Season
His first major girlfriend on the show is Victoria. She is "perfect", yet he still breaks up with her not once, but twice because of Robin. His second major non-Robin girlfriend, Stella, leaves him at the alter. What lead up to that though? Stella did not want Ted to have his ex at the wedding, so he compromised by inviting her ex, who eventually stole her away and wrote a successful movie about it. Two honeys down, one Robin still stands. It was also Robin who convinced Ted to not start dating Zoey again. If he had really been able to let Robin go, he would have gotten married long before he ever even met the mother.

Re: How I Met Your Mother - The Final Season
I just got to watching the finale. Bays and Thomas are currently the biggest trolls in the universe. IT's amazing what they did here. But I'm not surprised. The show went down the drain in season 7 and it never came back. The finale was just a final confirmation that this one should've ended like 3 or 4 seasons ago. Finale like this would be pretty good. Not great, but believable and good. The episode was more fun because of how bad it was and it got progressively worse.

After watching the Firends finale and this one back to back....
Oh boy they failed miserably on this one while the Friends' one reminds one of the most satisfying finales ever.

Re: How I Met Your Mother - The Final Season
I've binged watch the series the last month, up to the start of S7. I wasn't into the show or reruns while it aired but I've really loved watching it in this format. I think knowing the ending before starting the show makes it better by giving the Ted-Robin relationship perspective, knowing that they're going to develop Barney, etc.
Season 6 is actually one of my favorites so far despite the more miss than hit Zoey storyline. The Barney and Marshall storylines that season were really great. It also had some great one-off episodes like the Subway chase and the Blitz (awww man). It's random but I really liked how they included the part in 2021 where Wendy the waitress got married. Solid respect for its characters that some other shows wouldn't do and it fit the timing/fate theme perfectly
My favorite Ted love interest so far though is Victoria and it was nice to see her reintroduced
Love the recurring jokes like the sandwiches (and everything involving college pretentious Ted), interventions, major/private ______, etc.
Barney and Marshall will go down as two of the funniest tv characters/performances... A+ by NPH and Jason Segel. Lily also grew on me a lot. And Ted is one of the most likable tv characters. Great cast in general
