I thought it was supposed to be a limited series unless ratings were gangbusters enough to keep it going. I don't think ratings were that great. But at least they're sticking with pretty much everything.

I actually could see The Middle moving to Tuesdays while The Goldbergs assumes its 8 pm slot on Wednesdays. I'm kind of shocked by the renewals for American Crime and Galavant. ABC obviously liked the critical acclaim American Crime gets. Pleased for the renewal of Nashville (not that it was really in doubt, I guess) and Fresh Off the Boat!

Also, it did okay against tough competition (Golden Globes, NFL Kickoff, Pro Bowl, Miss Pageant Awards)

Though I would have preferred it be one season so Menken can go back to scoring Disney films. After Tangled had just okay music, he was due for Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid level success.

Backstrom has been cancelled by FOX after just 1 season.
Also, I'm hoping for a Happy Endings reunion since Elisha Cuthbert's One Big Happy and Zachary Knighton's Weird Loners will be cancelled because NBC has pulled the plug on "Marry Me" and will not be returning for season 2.
