Probably for the best. Would've messed with the flow.

Halfway through season 2. Loving this show, everyone is wonderful on it.

Re: PARENTHOOD
I just watched the finale and am now sitting here in a mountain of tears. It was such a beautiful ending to the series, and gave me everything I could have hoped for in a finale.
I found Parenthood to be a series unlike any other I've watched. For many of the same reasons I loved Boyhood so much, this series perfectly captured the little moments in life and how those pertain to our family and friends. Were there narrative missteps here and there? Of course. But there's not much I would have changed.
Saying goodbye to the Bravermans really felt like saying goodbye to family a bit. I will miss the show very much. But I'm so, so happy NBC gave it a sustained run of 103 episodes and the ability to wrap things up very much on their own terms.

Re: PARENTHOOD
As longtime fans we're honestly so lucky that we got such a long run out of this show when the ratings were never fantastic. I have to give NBC a lot of credit for sticking with it. They must have learned from their strategy with "FNL" (which has gained such a following after being on Netflix I'd be curious to see what the ratings would be now).

I just finished season 3 and while I didn't hate it, it was a pretty steep dip in quality from the first two seasons. Hoping season 4 is better.

Season 4 is the best season of the series, so yes.

Season 4 was my favorite, too. I agree with movies35 about the comment of S3. While solid, it wasn't as strong as the first 2.

Re: PARENTHOOD
I can't even handle season 4. I watched seven episodes and had to stop because my eyes were burning from crying so much.

Re: PARENTHOOD
After almost a month of watching Parenthood, I am nearly done. I have (I believe) 5 episodes left and I am just dreading the end so much. I recently read an article online about why binge watching could potentially be "dangerous" to you because you become depressed. Reading this, I thought it was ridiculous. Now here I am, nearly done watching this brilliant, beautiful TV series and there is a giant pit in my stomach knowing that later today, the show will be gone and I will have to say goodbye to the Bravermans.
I have never had a show (or even a movie probably) make me cry like Parenthood. It seemed to me that many cry through almost every episode, which hasn't been the case for me. I cried a few times in season 2, once in season 3, multiple times in season 4, a few in season 5 and probably four times in the final season thus far but when you cry, it's a nasty, horrible, ugly sob.
Thank you for making me feel, Parenthood.
