At least one of my bottom two left. I wish Janay had goen instead of Celina, and maybe that Lindsey had gone instead of Aloha. She was good the first week, but this week she wasn't.

I really can't figure Janay out either. In past years when someone without talent stuck around too long it was because of a group of fans that voted on sex appeal alone, such as Nikki McKibbin, Carmen Rasmussen, Jon Peter Lewis, and even John Stevens. But, Janay doesn't have talent, I seriously doubt she has a large fan base voting on sex appeal, and I don't think she has any demographic cornered. All that leaves is the sympathy vote, but the judges aren't being so harsh to her (like they were with John Stevens) that she'd get these either.
My last guess is that she comes from a very large family with a lot of phones.

I don't know why she's in, but I did predict (I think) that she wouldn't get voted off. It'd be nicer if we could call to vote people off, even if it'd be somewhat predictable.

Yeah, but if we did that, there really wouldn't be a 'winner' would there?
As for Janay, I think one of the reasons why she's still here is because, while being dreadful, she stands out. I admit that this season's bunch is the best since season 2, but a lot of them lack the 'it' factor. They may not sound like nails in a blender, but they're not overly exciting either.
However, I simply cannot wait until the show gets down to the final six, because, to me, there are six VERY good singers deserving of those spots. Let's just hope a John Stevens or a Carmen Rasmussen doesn't contaminate the mix.

I don't get you guys who say you can't stand the judges "pimping" of certain contestants. They're there to JUDGE and help make sure America chooses the right winner. At the end of the day, it is ALWAYS up to the voters, but the judges should be allowed to have their say.
And btw, the reason the judges were "pimping" Fantasia last year was because she out-sung and out-performed every contestant week in and week out. True, she did have a couple of off-nights, but the judges didn't shower her with compliments then.

Travis was just retched tonight. Didn't like him one bit. And Constantine was also quite terrible. Simon hit the nail on the head with that one. I don't know why you guys have Anthony so far down on your lists, I thought this was his best and I was pretty surprised. Anwar is quickly becoming one of my favorites along with Bo and Carrie.
1. Anwar
2. Bo
3. Anthony
4. Nikko
5. Mario
6. Scott
7. Constantine
8. Travis

1. Anwar - A, He has a good voice, and did well tonight. I just don't see him as being marketable, though.
2. Bo - A-, Not as good as last weeks, but still very solid. I see him as highly marketable. He'll do well if he wins or not.
3. Scott - B+, He has a very smooth voice. Not powerful, but always on key.
4. Nikko - B, He's very boring to me, and I thought he was terrible to start. I just don't see it.
5. Anthony - C+, Did alright, but he's so vanilla and plain. And, I can't stop staring at his throat hole. For the love of god, buy a turtle neck already!!!!
6. Mario - C+, Smooth voice, but weak, and also falls into the boring category for me.
7. Constantine - F, I can't stop laughing when he tries to act all tough, and then starts singing with his weak shrill voice. Or is it that I can't stop crying? I tried to supress the entire memory of watching it.
8. Travis - F, Actually worse than Constantine's, and I didn't think that was possible. Horribly off pitch, weak voice, stupid dance moves from the 80's. Really, really, really embarassingly bad. Seems like a nice guy, but just can't cut it.
Definitely going home: Travis
I really think we could see a shocker pick go home with Travis - it could be anyone from Nikko, Scott, Mario, Constantine, or even Anthony. I'll put my money on Mario as he wasn't bad enough to elicit sympathy votes, but wasn't good enough to bring out the rabid voters.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for my homeboy Travis not to go home.
He may not have the best voice, but I have to support a fellow UVA'er.

I guess I'm the opposite of Libs because I thought tonight was snore inducing. Except for the laughs provided by Scott and Constantine. Scott because of his stunning dance moves, especially the windshield wiper move during his vocally pleasing rendition of Sugar Pie Honey Bunch and Constantine's imitation of someone who belongs on the show. Oh Lords of Kobal please let him leave tomorrow. I thought Bo and Anwar were the standouts tonight, even though I thought Bo dropped a notch from previous weeks.
As for who is going home, as long as it isn't Bo or Anwar I'm perfectly okay with it. I think Travis and someone else (naturally) will go if that someone else is Constatine I will be joining Libs in the jumping for joy.

Nobody really stood out tonight, and I'm beginning to think none of these guys have what it takes. There's just nobody exciting here. I thought Nikko, Mario and Bo were the best, with Constantine and Travis bringing up the rear. The judges flipped over Anwar, but I thought he was overbearing and he strikes me as a male diva  .
I think Scott and Travis will be going home.

That's dumb to support someone more just because they're from the same university... or city... or state... or country... or hemisphere. Dat's like the same as discrimination. But Travis is cute. (replying to Libs)
My Ranking:
1. Anwar
2. Nikko
3. Anthony
4. Scott
5. Bo
6. Travis
7. Constantine
8. Mario
Every time I see Mario, I think of Disneyland, and he needs a haircut. Constantine: the only thing cool about him is his name, but then again, it just reminds me of the movie, which was eh. Anwar and Nikko are in a totally different and better league from everybody else, in my opinion, although I thought Anthony rocked last week. Bo needs braces and whitening.

Not exactly the same. Everyone likes a hometown hero, and no matter what, people will support someone they can relate to! I supported Camile and Jasmine last year cause they were filipino, just like me.

I keep waiting for Anthony to start singing out of that hole in his neck. That would be cool. In the meantime, he should get some puddy and cover that bad boy up.
Mario is boring and looks odd.
If Travis is considered handsome, there's hope for the many hairless apes in zoos nationwide. Yes, I just compared Travis to a hairless ape. That guy has a mug only a mother could love. Nice suspenders monkey boy, now dance.
Bo sounds good but he doesn't look like an idol. More like American Hitchhiker.
Scott has the same problem. Pick a race brother.
Oh Constantine .
Nikko is too black to win.
Anwar, good singer and just black enough not to scare white people.
Why was Seacrest wearing women's jeans?

I think Anthony is going for the sympathy vote. "I have a throat hole, look at it.", "I couldn't speak at all...", "I couldn't speak any English until I was 30...", "I was destitute from Syberia....", etc... . Boo-friggin-hoo! Life is tough, get over it. I grew up in the 70's and was forced to wear bell bottoms with stripes on them... you don't see me crying about it!
My wife thinks that Travis's looks is all he has going for him. I try not to think about whether he's sexy or not. But, when I was watching him sing... I think it moved. Just a little. But, I think it was recoiling in fear, so I'm probably still safe. [-o<
Nikko is too black to win? What about Reuben beating the whitest white boy on the face of the planet (Clay)? Or, Fantasia? Nikko's not too black. I think he may not be black enough!

Reuben is snuggly soft black.
Nikko, he looks like an extra from New Jack City. Those glasses aren't fooling anyone.
Anwar is a music teacher, he's the black Mr. Holland's Opus. And white America LOVES Richard Dreyfuss.

How do you explain Fantasia then?
Face it, crackers don't have a chance in this competition! Scott has the right idea... fool people into thinking your black, and then you got a shot!

Fantasia is sassy black, white people love that. It's the new Queen Latifah syndrome.

Ok, I think I'm getting this down now... Whites like non-threatening blacks (Wayne Brady, Anwar, Bill Cosby), Big Cuddly Blacks (Reuben, Barry White, fat Oprah), and sassy black females (Fantasia, Queen Latifah, Miss Cleo, skinny Oprah), and all have a shot at winning AI. But, urban "New Jack City" blacks (Allen Iverson, Wesley Snipes, Nikko, Bobby Brown) are still being beat down by the man.
Phew! Race is so complicated....
