lol
yassss, Sierra! Way to put aside your well-placed distaste for gross awful Dan for the good of us all.
Joaquin getting booted isn't (quite) as satisfying as his fellow dudebro Rodney, but it was worth it for the look on Rodney's dumb face afterward. Never get comfortable in this game, losers!

I know not to look, but it would be convenient to put the people who get voted off in spoiler tags for at least 24 hours after the episode airs.

No. Stay out of the thread if you have not watched the latest episode.

 Re: Survivor: Worlds Apart
Jenn whipping out the immunity idol exactly when she needed to was fantastic. I feel like it's been forever since someone actually correctly played an idol.
At first I was surprised Kelly was their target and not Mike, but it makes sense. She bonded with Carolyn (which is really why I think Carolyn went with the Blue Collar side in this vote), and she was obviously the glue holding Blue Collar together...everyone else on that trainwreck dysfunctional tribe hates each other.
The Jenn/Hali/Joe/Shirin foursome is still down significantly in numbers, though, since Will/Carolyn/Tyler all didn't vote with them. I do think they're down but not out, though. A lot can still happen.

This season is really good. I love when immunity idol makes for an interesting tribal. Hopefully things start to reshuffle now. Don't like blue collars at all.

Sierra confuses me a bit as a player. I am never sure where she stands.

 Re: Survivor: Worlds Apart
That was the episode we've been waiting for. So many great little moments.
Mike giving Tyler a backrub right before tribal was a hilarious image of desperation.
I'm so happy Jenn was the first in so long to have a successful idol play. I'm rooting for her to win.

 Re: Survivor: Worlds Apart
One potential issue with this season: if Joe and Jenn go, not much is left. Dan is disgusting. Rodney's overblown bravado and temperament gives him a bit of antagonistic comic-strip potency, but he is only functional as a foil. Carolyn and Tyler and Will? Yawn. Sierra is a bit of a nonentity, too, other than being a complete bitch tonight by not voting for Dan. Mike may have a fan base in certain circles (overt Christianity, muscles), but he does nothing for me.

 Re: Survivor: Worlds Apart
Horrible result at tribal council.
I can't believe they tantalized us with the prospect of Dan's vile ass getting voted out and then gave us that load of shit instead. Poor Hali.
Jenn, Joe and Shirin are doomed, and this suddenly got very depressing. I'll start rooting for Mike to win because he'll deserve it most out of anyone left/is not human garbage.

 Re: Survivor: Worlds Apart
Taylor seems a bit superficial. I feel he fancies himself this great strategist, but he never enunciates anything with any elan or wit.

 Re: Survivor: Worlds Apart
Can we take a moment to talk about this show's incredible staying power? For a show to be winning the night in demo numbers in its 30th season and 15th year on air is insane. It's somehow managed consistently strong viewership all these years despite similar shows like The Amazing Race and Big Brother showing significant declines. Even American Idol has fallen behind it at this point - who saw that happening? There are no signs of slowing down either as seasons 31 and 32 are already on the way.
Does Survivor have one of the most loyal followings in TV history?

 Re: Survivor: Worlds Apart
It is quite an accomplishment. It speaks to how fresh and different each season can feel since it is directly based on peoples' decisions and not any judges.
Ha, though some people I talk to who don't watch the show cannot fathom how it's still on.

 Re: Survivor: Worlds Apart
How lucky did Probst get when signing up for this gig? Unbeknownst to him at the time, he secured himself steady employment for 15+ years in a job that pays him to travel the world. He earned $4M in 2014 alone and has a reported net worth of $40M; all doing a job that he clearly loves while only having to work 5 or 6 months out of the year. Imagine if the first season had tanked and the show was canceled? Or if he passed it up for another project?

 Re: Survivor: Worlds Apart
Noooooo. My poor sweet, sexy Joe. Oh well. He'll obviously be back next season.
Jenn kind of lost me a little bit this episode with her apathetic whatever attitude, although her desire to troll everyone rather than quitting per se was at least enjoyable. I still think the result of this tribal council is the best thing that could have happened to her. People will probably start forgetting she's there now that Joe's gone while the big guns go at each other.
WTF was with Will's random explosion at Shirin in the preview? Shirin is quickly becoming a case of one of these people who is either edited much better than she appeared to the other players, or everyone else is just sort of mean.

Joe's got mad impressive jewelry-making skills. Good enough to even halfway convince the man with the actual idol that this one might be real.
Seeing Jenn genuinely laugh with Rodney was such a fun scene. While Rodney is beyond obnoxious, those were great impressions.
