I definitely agree. This episode went by too fast. AV Club gave it a C+ but her review is nonsense. This episode was one of the best episodes of the season. Good to see Olivia fixing problems again especially trying to get Fitz to be re-elected. The scene between Mellie and Liv was epic this week. Sally: Your days are outnumbered.

OK I was not prepared for the sobfest I just had with Jake the Murderer comforting James during his death throes. That was really hard to watch.

At least I didn't ugly cry like Cyrus, though!

Also, Huck and Quinn making out/exchanging spit/whatever the fuck that was was absolutely horrifying. Cannot unsee.

Quinn is the most irritating character on this show, if not one of the most. Libs, I do agree that I wasn't prepared for the sobfest. When Cyrus started crying, I almost lost it. Overall, another great episode. Only 4 episodes left this season.

You know what should happen in these two final episodes? The bomb goes off and Fitz dies. I'm serious. It's just crazy enough to be very Scandal-esque, and it would fundamentally change this show and speed it past some of the things about it that are just getting tired (I'm looking at you, quivering lip/yelling/making out convos between Liv and Fitz).

Also, the levels of Fitz's selfishness and hypocrisy in this episode were so irritating that I nearly screamed at the TV. And then maybe Mellie can somehow become President. Ugh. It would become the best show ever.

I'm on board with Fitz dying. It would allow for a nice shake-up for season 4 and for the show to go in a different direction.

The next two episodes are going to be intense!!!!!!!!!!!!

That Olivia/Mellie scene was one of the show's finest.

good couple of episodes, really picked the season up

tonight was cuckoo. can't imagine what twists we're looking forward to next week. i'm guessing there's a jake or olivia's 'rents twist next week. also, we can't ignore the fact that cyrus was given orders from jake and disobeyed, right? cyrus is dead next week.

have had some issues with the mellie/ andrew triangle. if mellie/ fitz had a dry marriage... don't we deserve to know how she gave birth last season? was that kid also andrew's?

i hope they take columbus short out next season - given that he's real world huck; at least, that's what tmz would have you believe...plus his character kinda sucks anyway

Anyways, That episode went by too fast tonight!!! Huck/Quinn really annoyed me in the episode but I did love Drunk Mellie!

After nearly 3 seasons it doesn't feel as fresh as it seemed at first. The melodrama can become overbearing. Fitz is the only one who's lines sound completely believable to me. It's still exciting enough to watch for another season, but I'll see after that.

The penultimate episode was one of the best episodes the show has ever done, and easily one of the most exciting. Very interested to see what happens in the finale tonight.

Season 3 of Scandal didn't end with a batshit crazy cliffhanger. That might be the biggest plot twist of all. Like, really, I was expecting Liv and Jake's plane to somehow blow up...

For once: poor Fitz. (And Mellie, obvi, but that goes without saying). Joe Morton is so good at being so over-the-top, scenery-chewing evil.

It's kinda hilarious that Columbus Short's recent legal troubles mean that Harrison will definitely be killed off now whereas the show left it in a more ambiguous direction when they filmed it.
