Too much filler time for the Americans. It had two great first two episodes but then the remainder episodes seemed like stand alone episodes. Keri's chances were always overated. She plays a russian who is posing as an American yet not even her flashback scenes has her speaking russian yet Matthew Rhys has done so in his role. Shes behind Matthew Rhys, Annet Manendru, Margo Martindale and Noah Emmerich in the acting deparment from the show.

Also I think Peter Dinklage should go lead next year so that it would give Charles Dance or Nikolaj a chance to enter as supporting actor. Dinklage should have enough interesting material to make it as lead next year.

 Re: 2013 Emmy Nominations
Kerry Washington's nom definitely surprised me. Good for her. Happy about the Adam Driver nomination too. No Jake Johnson and Parks and Rec for Best Comedy is a joke though.

I guess the only surprising omission for me is no Corey Stoll for Best Supporting Actor. I thought he was more of a lock than Robin Wright.

 Re: 2013 Emmy Nominations
Dinklage didn't do much this season that is worthy. Last season was Dinklage at its best and next year he should have alot of material as a top contender. Nikolaj should have been nominated over Dinklage this year and Fairley should have gotten it over Clarke. But like everyone in the GOT thread said that the two best thespians in the show Charles Dance and Maisee Williams never submitted a tape.

 Re: 2013 Emmy Nominations
I'm going to shoot someone if half of those predictions come true.
I am feeling like they're going to go big for 30 Rock. Fey and Baldwin may take the top acting awards, and one of the writing awards as well. One of the HBO comedies will win Best Comedy though.

I'm not saying anything bad about your predictions, Lecter. I'm saying most of them probably will happen, but that's more of a criticism on the voters.

Breaking Bad's series win is going to happen, its buzz is peaking at the perfect moment. Take it to the bank.

 Re: 2013 Emmy Nominations
Aren't the Emmys notorious for being behind on certain trends? Girls still has buzz, even with a quality-reduced second season. Its competition is the aging Modern Family, comedy-killer TBBT and dark horse Veep.
If BB wins Best Drama, I hope they go big and give it Writing, Supporting Actor and/or Actress and Cranston. None of this "spread the wealth" shit.

 Re: 2013 Emmy Nominations
My concern is the "What if..." scenario. Like, what if they wait and then they go for something really stupid and undeserving because they generally suck when rewarding the most deserving winners, like when Steve Carell deserved the Best Actor Emmy for his last season on The Office, and they gave it to Jim Parsons.
Or, what if... god forbid... the final seven episodes don't live up to the expectations?

 Re: 2013 Emmy Nominations
They already tried spreading the wealth on both the critics choice and association awards. Granted those are different award shows, I can see them doing that for the Emmys. I believe Breaking Bad will win either this year or next year but never both consecutively. It goes back to spreading the wealth again unless you are Mad Men

 Re: 2013 Emmy Nominations
They need to giv it to BB this year cuz I want them to give it to GoT next season (IF it's as good as the book that is.)
