 Re: WGA names Top 101 best-written shows of all time I still say skip season two. They know they fucked up. Pretty much everything that happens in season two is never mentioned again. Life is short, good tv is ample, and you really can pass on Season 2 and not miss a beat.

Re: WGA names Top 101 best-written shows of all time "Friday Night Lights" is one of the best TV shows of all time. Anyone who hasn't watched it should. And skipping season 2 is a mistake. While it is hands down the weakest there are some standout moments I would have hated to miss. Like what about Matt's "everybody leaves me" moment in season 2, episode 14? This is one of the best-acted moments in the series and important in the development of the relationship between him and Coach Taylor.

Re: WGA names Top 101 best-written shows of all time ...and yes, The Dick Van Dyke Show is really as good as it's ranking indicates. The owners have been very tight with distribution on broadcast TV - - it hasn't been in wide syndication in decades. Fortunately, there is an exemplary box set for anyone who wants to witness the full glory of Carl Reiner's masterpiece (also just released in Blu-ray at the end of last year).

Re: WGA names Top 101 best-written shows of all time Lecter - go for Boardwalk and Mad Men. Though give them a chance past the first couple episodes. Both shows hit their stride in the second and third seasons (and the latter had a great fifth and sixth (so far) season as well.
