Julia girl, watch yo ass. Ellis is going to bring a shitstorm soon I can feel it.
Speaking of Julia though, Debra Messing is hot on this show.

 Re: "Smash" (Season 1)
This episode was sort of boring. A couple of things were kinda ridiculous, namely Bruno Mars: The Musical (what?!) and The Apparently Not Super Gay Assistant That Everyone Thought Was Super Gay overhearing things at opportune times and plotting stuff (what is this, Downton Abbey?).
But, you know. I love me some Debra Messing and Anjelica Huston, especially.

 Re: "Smash" (Season 1)
I thought the guy they ended up wanting for Joe was horrible in the Bruno Mars musical. He seems fine outside of that though. And I agree with Libs, the Bruno Mars musical was a big WTF? I thought it was another "good" episode. So far this show has yet to blow me away, but it's enjoyable enough. I still wonder how many viewers will keep sticking around. Not sure it has enough of a hook for them to.

 Re: "Smash" (Season 1)
I really like this show not just for the music but for where the story is going. I like the running gag so far of Angelica Houston throwing her drinks in her ex's face. I absolutely hate the songwriter's male assistant. He's to peppy and has shown he's a conniving little demon. I think Katherine is enjoyable to hear sing. Hopefully, it's ratings improve because I heard it's 2nd episode dropped in viewers.

 Re: "Smash" (Season 1)
They won't. It's still NBC's highest rated drama at the moment.

 Re: "Smash" (Season 1)
I agree. I think they'll renew it for season two unless it starts pulling, like, "The Firm" numbers or something.

I don't know. If it dips below 6 Million it's gone. It is too expensive a show.

You realize this show would already be at like 1.5 without TV lead-in? Sad or not it's back to the drawing board for NBC next season. They're a wreck. But if Smash was ever going to get renewed it's on NBC right now. Yes it has a chance, but only if it stabilizes next week and stays flat for the remainder of the season. When it comes back in the fall it won't have TV to push it so NBC basically risks of renewing a very expensive show that can't stand on its own just to see if it will miraculously hold or bomb. They definitely won't hold it until midseason to pair it up with TV again.

 Re: "Smash" (Season 1)
Do they have any other hit reality shows? Maybe they should put The Voice on in the fall . I agree it definitely needs a big lead in. Doesn't seem like it could stand on its own.

 Re: "Smash" (Season 1)
Now that Smash flopped, they should really premiere Awake (that gone does have potential) after The Voice.

Terrific episode tonight! It was a real blast. Now I really hope it stabilizes and they'll give it another season. The next looks pretty thrilling.

 Re: "Smash" (Season 1)
Tonight's episode was the best yet! Loved it. And I'm really getting into the storylines too.
It was trending on Twitter all through the episode so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for decent ratings tomorrow.
