Speaking of Oleg: I hope they overhaul the supporting cast (maybe not Garrett Morris) a bit next season. Dennings and Behrs are fantastic, but Oleg and the diner owner guy (whatever his name is) border on painful most of the time.

I'm on the fence on 2 Broke Girls. I think the supporting characters are offensive and cheap. The leads are OK (the 'rags to riches' story doesn't work. Example: Subway Dentist). Script gives me more amusement than laughter. To me, it's like my new Will and Grace...it's adequate background noise while cooking or stretching or something.
At least we all agree that Parks is the best network show atm.

Han Lee (the diner owner guy) might be the worst character on TV right now. A shame. His scenes bring the show to a grinding halt.

As great as Parks & Rec is (and it really is), I might have to award my "best comedy series" vote to Happy Endings, which has been on fire this season. It's one of the most delightful and surprising series I can remember: something that seemed like the umpteenth Friends wannabe being tossed onto the schedule in April in a bad time slot grows into something like this. Really nice to see.
There are so many great ones on TV right now, though. It really is one of the best periods for comedy I can remember in a long time.
And The Good Wife is (still) by far the best network drama. Although we know I love me some Revenge and Parenthood.

If I go by you guys, Cougar Town is one of the greatest comedies of the last five years. But then I read other reviews of it, and they're not so hot about it. ... can you be hot about something, or did I just make that up?
Either way, I want to give it a shot, but I don't want to face the wall of shame here if I don't love it.

Oh no, you must watch it. Cougar Town is fabulous (and Courteney Cox is so different from Monica on it). I'm positively seething it won't be back until March at the earliest. Just be patient with it, the show didn't really gel completely until the latter half of its first season.

I've been banging the Parks and Rec drum incessantly for three years now but, yeah, don't freak out world, I may agree with LIbs. Parks isn't in a Modern Family style, I've-lost-all-faith-and-it-may-be-time-to-put-Yeller-down slump, but quality is down a little. Too much focus on the Ben/Leslie storyline; I like those actors, like their chemistry, hate the laugh-free and dramatically unconvincing storyline about the professional fallout from their little romance. And I still feel like April has never recovered from marrying Andy. It defanged the character and while she was once the highlight of the show, I can no longer understand her purpose.
Happy Endings, meanwhile, aside from that truly awful Megan Mullally episode has been a blast week after week. It's reminiscent of HIMYM (may it rest in peace) in its heyday. I'm obsessed, obsessed with Eliza Coupe, and I'm convinced she's the funniest actress on TV at the moment.
It takes a nothing premise and makes it sing with snappy writing and a fantastic cast (How lucky was Damon Wayans, Jr.? Saved from the hell of New Girl, the worst show on television. Okay, second worst. Community is the worst.). And Adam Pally's Max is nothing short of revolutionary; an unambitious slob who likes sports and video games while not being the least bit feminine or delicate. He is the least stereotypical gay man in the history of TV. I can't believe it took this long for a character like this, but its great that he's here now.

Who the hell doesn't like Cougar Town? These can't be real people.
The mere thought of that show honestly makes me just feel so sad and uncomfortable
Do you hate Zooey Deschanel? Or, better yet, hate how Zooey acts on the show? I could easily see someone upset over her character on the show. It's a love her or hate her type.
Maybe you just hate adorableness. Is that it? Is being too cute somehow a hindrance? Do you hate kittens too?

New Girl is OK-to-good but a little too much sometimes.
