Re: Homeland Season 1 - EPIC SHOW IS EPIC! GOD MODE!
I just hope they don't go the 24/The Killing route, with twist endings in every episode.

Is anyone still watching this? Claire Danes was sensational in last week's episode. Can't wait for the finale.

 Re: Homeland Season 1
A fantastic season finale. Not to be cliched but I was on the edge of my seat throughout. And there was something incredibly sad about the ending. Poor Carrie is right about everything, saves a heaping of lives without realizing she has even done so, and is believed by exactly no one and ends the episode voluntarily getting glorified amnesia.
What an incredibly stellar first season. This needs to be nominated for, like, every Emmy. I would give wins to Claire Danes, Damian Lewis and Mandy Patinkin.

 Re: Homeland Season 1
I just wish they hadn't gone for the amnesia storyline, especially as Carrie had just clicked onto some info.

The last 2 episodes were just incredible. One of the best first seasons of a TV show I've seen

The series really started to go down hill after the cabin episode. Tom Walker being alive (and Brody having no idea of it) was kind of stupid. Carrie going mentally insane became tiresome. And the fact that the VP would make Brody his puppet without doing a full in-depth background check (i.e. spy on him to make sure hes not crazy) is very unrealistic to me, particularly for a show whose main focus is spying.
the first half of the season or so though was really good. but i have little faith moving forward. Wow, you have terrible opinions. Homeland is the best show on TV right now.

and whats weird is the times such as this when I don't even call something you love bad, but actually praise it. but since I also brought in criticism and didn't praise it to the full level you did, you hate me for it.
you're on borderline personal attack level. you're actually kind of worse than Chip is. I'm just playing. Most of the time, at least. I apologize and I will stop telling you that you have terrible opinions. lol

Wow, just finished the first season and I loved it. Lewis & especially Danes are phenomenal, the scenes in the cabin and the 'confrontation' were perfect. Can't wait catching up on the second season.

 Re: Homeland Season 1
Finally finished the first season. AMAZING! Claire Danes is just phenomenal on this. I feel so bad for Carrie. It's frustrating watching her be right about Brody and nobody believes her. Can't wait to start the second season. I think this might just be the best show on TV.

3 episodes in and its a good show. Reminds me of 24 in some ways but deeper. I assume it gets a lot better from here on though to warrant all the "amazing" and "favourite show" comments I hear from friends.

It reminds me of 24 too actually, but better. I loved the show instantly but yeah, it does get even better.

 Re: Homeland Season 1
^ Episode 7 of season 1 ("The Weekend") is one of the best episodes of a TV show I've ever seen. A few of the most recent episodes of season 2 have approached or surpassed it too.

 Re: Homeland Season 1
I watched the first episode last night. It's definitely interesting, and I will watch the rest of them soon. My online stream cut off just as Clare Danes takes a guy home/or out of the restaurant. Does anything happen after that scene that is integral to the story? I don't want to watch Ep 2 until I know really..

 Re: Homeland Season 1
Finished it. I can't think of a better TV series that I've watched. I don't really like TV series', I'm more of a film person and I stay away from the box as much as possible (I actually watched this online), but this was riveting stuff. It's much better than other TV series' that I've watched in the past; Heroes, Lost, Nip/Tuck and Desperate Housewives. It's even better than Gods of the Arena and Spartacus: Blood & Sand, and I really liked those. All players were excellent, especially Lewis, Danes and the guys that played Saul and David Estes. I love Brody's daughter too, she's got some brilliant lines! Brody's wife is fucking hot.
I've just watched the first episode of the second season, and I'm excited to see the rest. I don't think it will be able to live up to the excellent first season, but it does have a shot - the Middle East scenes are especially interesting but I'm just not sure if Carrie not being part of the CIA will keep my interest levels up like the first season.
