http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/20 ... =obnetworkThis really was entertaining including an unintelligable Mike Tyson and Sheen appears to be a good sport about the whole thing..Quote: "It was only when the smoke cleared I realized just how lucky I am, because even after all that, I still have a family that loves me. That's why they're not here tonight," he continued. "They've seen me in jail. They've seen me rushed to emergency rooms. They've seen me dragged into court. Re: Two And A Half Men With Ashton Kutcher
This was HUGE last night. Quote: The debut of CBS’ Two and a Half Men with new star Ashton Kutcher lived up to the hype ratings-wise. The veteran sitcom’s ninth season premiere last night drew 27.7 million viewers and posted a 10.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic, numbers rarely seen for a scripted show these days and all series highs by a large margin. Men dominated the opening night of the 2011-12 season, giving CBS an early lead. But, because of the big curiosity factor associated with the public firing of former Men star Charlie Sheen and his replacement with Kutcher, the show was expected to open very well. The question is where it will settle when the novelty ears off. MORE http://www.deadline.com/2011/09/two-and ... 8-million/

Re: Two And A Half Men With Ashton Kutcher
This was the only episode I ever watched during its actual time slot (As I'm sure many did, should have no trouble being the highest rated show of the week and possibly season) But I thought it was awful. And the laugh track may have been the most obnoxious I've ever heard it. I will be surprised if this doesn't plummet to under 10 million viewers before the season is out.
8 Simple Rules lasted about a season and a half without John Ritter (Sadly no his choosing though) This is entirely a different show without Sheen, and its honestly not a good one except for a few jokes at Sheen's expense and a couple of sex jokes.

You know, when you really get right down to it, if this show does end up failing after so many episodes, then YES, I guess you really can say Sheen was not only winning, but WON and will have made Chuck Lorre look like a donkey's ass, but will see.. The guy just won his settlement against CBS and WARNER BROS and will be amking $$$ off royalities for, well, forever as long as this show is in syndication.. Good for him

Re: Two And A Half Men With Ashton Kutcher
Even Joey managed a about 24 million viewers its first episode, I think it was by 5 by the end of the season. I could see this going to the teens the next two weeks, then to 12, if it drops under 12 by the 5 episode, it might get another season but it'll need to stabilize.
I doubt the roast did that much, The Comedy Central roasts haven't been good since the 90s. The comics involved are pure trash now. Oh how I miss Dean Martin.

Re: Two And A Half Men With Ashton Kutcher
Back then 24 million was a disappointment. Today 27 million for a TV show is science fiction basically. It won't drop under 10 million. CBS's Monday block is too strong and CBS's viewers seem like creatures of habit.

But Sheen's Roast was pretty good and for what 2nd rate comics there were, they didn't hold back and so much, they even dragged his kids and wife into the mix.. Ouch, but he did take it like a good sport and shot back with a few of his own.. Mike Tyson was the odd one out of them..

The new 2 1/2 Men is not much better. I won't be tuning in again, I'll stick to some repeats.

Re: Two And A Half Men With Ashton Kutcher
Ummmmm I went back and Googled. Joey premiered to 18.55 million viewers. Considering Friends ended with a bang (50m+ viewers) and Joey was the hot fresh spin-off of an arguably most funny character, I'd consider 24 million a disappointment. But 18.55m is even more disappointing IMHO. I wasn't into ratings back then but for an initial sampling both numbers would be considered disappointing considering the background and pedigree of Joey. It's arguable, but it had way more buzz than the Two and a Half Men restart.

Quite a feat. Quote: 'Men's' premiere was the highest-rated, most-watched scripted season premiere since the September 25, 2005 season two premiere of Desperate Housewives (28.36 million).

Your a dumbass and clearly didn't read what I posted, so put your Legend of Zelda game down and read: THIS SHOW WILL NOT LAST PAST 5 OR 6 EPISODES AND CERTAINLY WILL NOT BE RENEWED FOR A 10TH SEASON.. NOW YOU GOT IT??? Also, it was obviously going to win out of sheer curiousity and you know this.. Oh well Also, if Kutcher walking around nude with his schlong hanging like an elephant(you really don't believe this guy was nude do you??) is the writers way of garnering ratings with any hope of an actual story coming in 2nd, then this show is finished..

Re: Two And A Half Men With Ashton Kutcher
http://content.usatoday.com/communities ... -record-/1WINNING!! Good for you Charlie If this Roast were held on Network TV, It would've killed Two and a Half Men..Quote: Charlie Sheen roast sets ratings record Comments 2 By Ann Oldenburg, USA TODAY Updated 5h 5m ago Charlie Sheen speaks onstage at Comedy Central's Roast of Charlie Sheen held at Sony Studios on Sept. 10, 2011 in Los Angeles.
While Ashton Kutcher was pulling in record ratings for CBS on his Two and a Half Men debut, Charlie Sheen's roast Monday night was drawing record numbers for Comedy Central.
According to USA TODAY's Gary Levin, 6.4 million viewers tuned in to see Charlie take verbal abuse, which makes him the channel's biggest highest-rated roastee yet, ahead of previous record holder Jeff Foxworthy (6.2 million, also in 2005).
Sheen's snarkfest also drew at least 2 million more viewers than the recent roast of Donald Trump in March and the skewering of David Hasselhoff in August 2010.

Would be nice to see a scripted show pull in over 20 Million viewers again on a regular basis. I watched tonight after not having watched the second episode of the season. It's decent, IMO. I didn't like the show at all before.

Quote: Two and a Half Men went the other way, down 0.2 points to a 5.0 adults 18-49 rating. Although that was 19% above the comparable Monday night last season. Put this show out of it's misery already.. Funny how it went from a big whopping 26 million viewers the night this premiered with Kutcher and is now down to a measly 5.0.. That's 1 hell of a drop and no spinning this either folks.. Charlie Sheen has to be laughing his ass off at this right now and he predicted this would happen to..

I'd venture a guess that with all the tabloid mess he's in, Ashton won't be back for another year. Wonder what will happen then.

Also, I don't think you understand what a 5.0 even is. That's not the number of millions of viewers, that's the rating in adults 18-49. It's doing about 15-16 million viewers right now, which is large.

Re: Two And A Half Men With Ashton Kutcher
Wrote this in the ratings thread this season has now had two episodes in 10 lowest in the history of the series.
It's latest new one was the 7th lowest ever, and the lowest since the middle of season 6.
It's now dropped to #2 among the seasons with avg. ratings at 16.37 million an episode.
With 10 episodes left, I'm not sure it can even hang on to a top 5 spot which is 14.95 million an episode. It needs to average over 13.5 million the last 10 episodes to get that. While it's still doing ok in the Demo, that too is down 10% since Libs last post. Next season could be very interesting.
