I said King of the Hill sucked once....then I made fun of it's ratings...then I made fun of it's sales.
I actually enjoy watching it from time to time but you saying that these shows suck compared to Family Guy kind of got me mad.
(And if you ask most people they know I've never been a troll)

So... a cancelled show that used to be on Fox and only shows reruns on Cartoon Network is outselling one of the seasons of the most beloved cartoon?
I say Family Guy wins

I personally like both, Family Guy and The Simpsons, but I would say that the Simpsons, esp S4-S10, are way better. Family Guy is good though.
By the way, Family Guy is starting on May 1st right?

True about that but I still wont understand Family Guy  .
I would still lunge after the remote control after the Simpsons and switch it to Cold Case instead of the Family Guy

Ahhh but Family Guy isn't on after The Simpsons which makes its repeat ratings even more impressive. I guess I'll just never get the comedy in King of the Hill and you'll never get the comedy in Family Guy.

But, now you admit that Family Guy IS pretty popular. Considering The Simpsons is the best animated series ever (sorry Family Guy, but years and years of what The Simpsons has created can't quite be soured by a few bad episodes in the later years), Family Guy is still giving it a run for its money.

The thing about King of the Hill is that it doesnt rely on random situation like the Simpsons does. It plays more like a suburbai and makes stereotypes out of certain groups of people. You got your liberal hippies that get made poked fun at, your equal-opportunity burecrat, the overzealous militia, the south eeast asian family, etc. I think the reason why people dont like the cartoon is it stereotypes all teenagers and young adults as lazy, dumb hoodlums. Alot of situations built around the cartoon is so absurd that its funny like Hank Hill trying to go through all the trouble of getting his license changed from female to male but having to do with bullshit about lazy bureucrats not doing anything about it. I guess it appeals to those that also like the movie Falling Down

We were talking about the ratings and suddenly someone puts up dvd sales as though it matters for rating. Heck even Dave Chapelle sold 2 million copies and I love that show but its not like its a ratings winner. Still only a small minority of people buy tv series dvds as experienced by Friends selling only 1 million copies

Well, that's pretty much the truth. I do enjoy the show, just I rarely ever laugh.

Chapelle's Show is on Comedy Central, and is like their second highest rated show. Everytime you heard "I'm Rick James, bitch!" someone was buying the DVD set.

"Chappelle's Show" has been both a ratings and critical success for the network. It draws more than 3 million viewers per week, and typically is among the top-rated cable shows in adults 18-49 and the hard-to-reach young male demographic."

I think I was serious was I
Also that vader picture of yours is a little outdated. Didnt you know the newest picture of Vader? It has less muscle mass and 1 foot shorter than the 70s version of it. Just picture gumby in a Vader suit because thats how it looks. But then if you use that latest Vader picture, BKB will have spasm over it
