It's going to hurt seeing him on this. It will remind me of Happy Endings .

 Re: New Girl
This show is essentially the same series as "Happy Endings" in terms of its sense of humor. The only difference is that the network it airs on actually gives a shit about it. Maybe Eliza Coupe and the other cast members could guest star

 Re: New Girl
I dunno if I'd classify this as being that similar to New Girl. They're both "hangout" shows but Happy Endings had much more rapid humor and almost no serialization.

 Re: New Girl
Happy Endings > New Girl
And he should totally replace Winston -- easily the worst character on the show
I propose a new sitcom with Eliza Coupe, Krysten Ritter, and Damon Wayans Jr. Who am I kidding? Even a new show with one of these actors would be cool.

 Re: New Girl
I was (so many tears at that word) a huge Happy Endings fan, but New Girl was the best comedy on TV last season. I'm excited to see what they've got planned for season 3.

 Re: New Girl
I agree that "New Girl" in its second season was better than "Happy Endings" in its third.

I didn't realize how much I missed this show the last four months until the season premiere. So. Good.

 Re: New Girl
Love that they've figured out Winston by not figuring him out at all. This week he's color-blind and into puzzles. Both developments were hysterical.

 Re: New Girl
I thought tonight's episode was absolutely hysterical. Winston and Schmidt had great facial expressions - I LOVED Winston and Furguson and the whole Schmidt/Elizabeth/Cece in the office scenes. Also, a lot of great guest stars tonight! Angela Kinsey, Dreama Walker, Merritt Wever, Brenda Song and Eva Amurri were all awesome and used well. Especiallly liked Eva Amurri.

 Re: New Girl
I'm really ready for this "Schmidt strings Cece and Elizabeth along" storyline to end. It feels like a disservice to his character and something a lesser show would do.
But other than that? Loving this season as usual. I like that they're just making Winston as weird as humanly possible (THE CAT).

 Re: New Girl
I do hope they end the Schmidt love triangle storyline within another episode or two. But he's still hilarious.
And I LOVE that they're just like "We have no idea what to do with Winston... so let's make him as WEIRD as possible"
HE WAS ABOUT TO MURDER A CAT.

 Re: New Girl
I'm still kinda weirded out by the direction they're going with Schmidt this season, but him threatening to break up Nick and Jess led to that priceless conversation between them at the end.
"I'm not convinced I know how to read. I just memorized a bunch of words."
"I believe horses are from outer space." "Me too!"

I felt bad for Cece last night but the episode as a whole was pretty hilarious.

 Re: New Girl
Aces.
I am VERY curious as to where they're taking Schmidt. Because they had found his groove last season, and now they've stabilized Nick/Jess and made Winston a wackadoo, which is awesome. But if this leads to more Schmidt pranks, I'm IN.

 Re: New Girl
Eek, this only did a 1.9 in the demo last night. It's in no danger of cancellation because of DVR numbers and at this point it's pretty close to syndication levels, plus they have the Super Bowl coming up. But it's still sad to see it go so low.
