Well I think Janay and Lindsay will be getting the boot tomorrow night. How in the world Janay even got this far is beyond me, last week she looked like she was going into shock and this week her voice was bland and her eyes were freaking me out! The biggest surprise for me was Mikalah. I found her to be very annoying like Simon said, but this week is was subdued and not cocky.

Agreed, well except for the B part..I'm thinking like C. Crack indeed. I'm not even sure it was the song. I just don't like her voice at all.

As for the rest of them, they need to show some diversity in the AI Catalogue of songs. Two Alicia Keys numbers and two songs sung by Faith Hill (1 original, 1 originally a Joplin number) and another country number, Nashville Star redux. I wasn't impressed by anyone, the closest I came to it was Jessica, because I couldn'tremember a thing she did before tonight.

Celena sounded a bit like Faith with the first few notes but somewhere midsong she fell apart. Amanda is still attractive but "Turn The Beat Around"? I think she's just lucky that others sucked equally as much or more than her so she still has a shot to make it.

Overall the girls were very below par tonight. I think the guys are a stronger bunch this year.

My favorites:

1. Amanda - A-, She was one of the few that actually looked comfortable on stage. She sounded a lot better this week and showed she has some pipes to go with her looks.

2. Nadia - B, She turned a decent Paul McCartney song into a average one. But, she has the look and appears to be a natural performer. And her voice wasn't that bad either. But, still very disappointing considering last week's.

3. Jessica - B-, It felt like country night tonight, and I hate country music. A boring, typical, yawn inducing performance, but she sang it alright.

4. Vonzell - C, Something doesn't click for me with her. Plus she got out of tune a lot near the end.

5. Aloha - C, Just boring. Poor song choice for her vocal abilities.

6. Carrie - C-, Not a good song or performance (stage presence or voice). She has the look, but the rest didn't click this week.

7. Janay - D+, Poor Janay... she looks scared to death and so unnatural on stage. It wasn't quite as bad as some of the judges said, but it definitely wasn't good.

8. Mikalah - D+, I think the judges need to clean their ears out. It sounded all over the map and her voice is annoying.

9. Lindsey - D, Terrible song, poor performance.

10. Celena - D-, By far my least favorite female contestant. Crappy all the way around.

I still have problems telling these white chicks apart.

So I'll start with the black ones.

Janay is DOA. The judges made a mistake picking her.

Aloha, some issues but I like her style.

Vonzell, to be honest, she's just too unattractive.

Nadia, she sang Paul McCartney's My Love with her own style. I liked it.

On to whitey or in the case of Mikalah, JAP (I think).

My wife (yes, I own her) loves Mikalah. And Simon was right, she wasn't even annoying. I feel a bit like Professor Humbert Humbert when I watch her sing. 8-[

The Barbie Brigade, they can all go away in no particular order. Not a single one is above ordinary. But if my American Orgy pitch to Fox works out, I will be casting some of them.

Aloha, despite kicking off the show, didn't kick it into high gear. It wasn't bad, it was just decent, but nowhere near last week. As for Lindsay, it was pretty bad, and I have no idea where she found that song.

Jessica and Celena both tried country this week. For me, Jessica sounded good, but she's too lame for the show. Celena sang decent (except for certain parts), but she's still struggling to "find herself."

Two of my favorites from the female group (Carrie and Vonzell) disapointed me last night. I still think Carrie's one of the front runners, but her country-fied take on Janis Joplin's "Piece of My Heart" was a bit dissapointing. She didn't sound bad, but, I don't know, the song just didn't suit her. Vonzell didn't sound that bad either, but it's hard to cover a recent song that was so well done by one of the most talented female preformers around today.

The songs just didn't suit those two.

But at least a couple of contestants improved over last week: Amanda, while definitely not being one of the top vocalists, picked the perfect song for herself. It highlighted her talents as a Las Vegas showgirl, and she was probably the most photogenic of the bunch tonight. Mikalah impressed me with her song selection and once again proved that she can rival Diana DeGarmo as the most confident 16 year old to ever take the Idol stage. It was a steller, if not great, vocal performance.

I'm not to sure where to put Nadia, as she didn't improve, but still had a great night. The song was a little old, but she did her thing with it. She reminds me a lot of Tamyra Gray from season one, although her voice isn't as strong, but style wise, she looks like she could be Tamyra's funky sister.

Now, as you all probably know, I've left the worst for last: Janay. Paula said that "it wasn't bad" :???: Ugh, hello! First off, she picked the shitiest song ever picked on American Idol, and did, at best, a half-assed Kareoke impersonation of Blue Cantrell. It was out of tune from start to finish and she looked absolutly petrified up there. I was looking forward for Simon to give her a Carmen Rasmussen-style smackdown, but he kept his venom in check and simply told her that she's too young to be there.

Tonight, I'm betting that Janay and Lindsay will get axed. Lindsay was pretty bad, but not bad enough to earn too many sympathy votes, so I think she's a gonner. As for Janay, I actually kind of hope that she stays, just so we can get our American Idol pin-up contestant early this year. But baring a pity backlash, I wouldn't place a bet on it.

Wow...surprisingly I think we all agree on the girls, with only a few slight differences. It's good to see that most of you came around and now think our next American Idol will be Amanda.

Here's my prediction on who is going home tonight...

Girls: Celena and Janay. (Personally I'm rooting for Celena and Lindsay, but wouldn't cry if Janay went home.)

Boys: John and David. (I'm rooting for John and Constantine to get the big boot).

And, I'd officially like to sign up for loyal's TV show...

1) Jessica: Great performance!!
2) Mikalah: Surprised me a lot! Proved she can do other stuff.
3) Carrie: What where the judges smoking? There's a country version of the song, which is what she sounded like.
4) Amanda: Greatly improved from last week
5) Vonzell: Good, not great.
6) Celena: I love the song, not so sure about the performance. It was alright
7) Nadia: Not that good. Boooring song.
8) Lindsey: The background people were way to loud for her, but I think she did alright.
9) Aloha: Not a good performance this week, and not a good song.
10) Janay: Kick her off already!! And those eyes...

I think Celena and Janay are going home, but I hope it's Janay and either Aloha (Probably not) or Lindsey.

Tweens.

She didn't get voted off last week and she was the worst one, no? And, Jasmine and Carmen and all of 'dem other untalented singers have gotten pretty far. I don't see a lot left for Janay, but I think she'll last a while...

I wouldn't be too surprised either. Sometiems it's better to be really bad then just average and forgetable.

I was extremely offended when the Judges said Carrie wasn't being "true to yourself".

If they're suppose to be such "experts" in music, wouldn't they know, the song Carrie sang was one of the BIGGEST hits for one of country's BIGGEST stars? It hurts to know that Carrie may have lost alot of fans for 3 ignorant remarks.

And in my opinion, Carrie's rendition of Faiths version was quite well done....

I'm also a bit dissapointed that Aloha was given the boot, but meh, like Simon said, she wasn't going to win anyway. I am, however, looking forward to sinking my teeth into another dreadful performance by Janay

I was a little surprised that David went tonight, but I guess I was just remembering how he did in the auditions more than anything he did on performance night. I would have preferred Constantine to go over him. As for the ladies, not too surprised at either one. Sure I don't think Janay should be there based on talent, but I can understand why she remains. I guess Aloha was the more surprising of the female boots, but I didn't like her that much - so I'm not heartbroken. I thought tonight's show was a lot better than the 60 minute results show last week. Much faster and smoother.

3 out of 4 aint half bad. I bow to myself. :mirrorbow:

I ditto everyone else... Aloha should not have gone home quite yet - it should have been Janay or Lindsay. But, I do so desperately want one more week to see if Janay will finally shave her mustache. [-o<

She's not coming to the American Orgy pants party.

Well I think its safe to say that Janay is this years John Stevens. Seriously, how she didn't get voted off is beyond me. Her two performances rank up there with some of the worst of all time in AI. If she makes it through to the top 12, then I think she will be around for a long time much like John Stevens was last year. Every week the judges will tell her how bad she sucked and she will continue to move on. All of the judges basically said that she should have gone home instead of Aloha. As for the guys, pretty predictable. But I thought there was a chance that Mario was going home due to him going first and the judges kissing his ass.
