No, speeches seem like a waste of time. Not to you, Ryan! I'd gladly take your speeches, and I'm positive they would be great, but if people aren't here when I present the winners (I expect only two or three people, AT MOST, when I present the winners), they'll likely skip to the winners and not read the speeches.
