 Re: The Following
The twins were such godawful actors that I'm not sure I can take a full season with them. Every scene they were in was unintentionally hilarious.

Question: Were the twins just played by one actor? That actor (or one of them) played Dana's stupid boyfriend on Homeland last season. Gross. Also, this show is still fucking hilarious. The level to which I just can't is off the charts.

 Re: The Following
I can't believe people watch this show. I watched the first half of the first season and it was so, so bad.

 Re: The Following
This season is legitimately awful so far. Tonight's episode was such a bore. And it's getting hard to take how stupid the plotlines are Those twins are too much to handle - every scene with the is unintentionally hilarious.
I may be out. We'll see.

She was so miscast. I felt bad for her.
Tonight's episode was so embarrassing. EVERYTHING about it was awful.

 Re: The Following
Yay! Carrie Preston is free from this shitfest.
The 'twist' last night with Connie Nielsen's character was so obvious and hilarious.
I really can't take these twin characters. I hate them so much.

I didn't see her being their mother that was the biggest shock. I am still betting Keith Carradine will end up being the mastermind this season.

 Re: The Following
OMG. Ryan's double nightmare at the beginning of the episode. I'm sorry I doubted your ability to be fucking hysterically awful instead of just boring like last week, The Following. Welcome back.

 Re: The Following
Now watch Libs' sanity unravel in real time as she watches last night's episode:
-Poor Carrie Preston.
"What did you take from the apartment? Don't lie to us, because we have the footage." THEN WHY ARE YOU EVEN ASKING HIM, YOU DUMB BITCH?
-"Why don't you like Emma?" "Um, because she's unlikable." lol zing!
-So far, Connie Nielsen's art gallery victim lady is making Claire seem like the world's most exciting human being on the face of the earth. She's also gonna be a follower because obviously.
-Shut up, Joe.
-Calling it now: Emma's gonna bang both of the godawful twins.
-"Damn. Those fools got taken out!" "They do this French talkin' thing all the time, it drives me crazy!" Carlos is hilarious, please stay around forever and continue acting like a stereotypical black guy who happens to be a psycho cult member.
-Joe just called Carrie Preston's house a "utopian slut palace." Ooh, burn!
-Poor Carrie Preston, again. The indignity.
-Oh, just kidding, they killed Carlos. Of course.
-Yup, Connie Nielsen's a follower. Come the hell on.
-Yeah, Ryan, stare at her suspiciously for 2 minutes straight. That'll work in stopping her and not letting her know something has gone awry! Also, didn't you used to have a heart problem? THIS SHOW'S WRITING IS SO BAD.
-*taze* "Call 911, he's having a heart attack." CLEVER! Oh, she's Godawful Twins' mother. SHOCKING TWIST! lolno
-This dark, whiny cover of "Stand By Me" at the end. I can't.
This was a solid D episode. We're getting close to F territory again. Smells good.

This entire season is just so dreadful so far. It makes the first look like a masterpiece in comparison.

 Re: The Following
To no one's surprise, last night's episode was horrendous. The show has introduced so many new awful characters this season between Lilly and The Godawful Twins that Emma is becoming likable in comparison.
EMMA.
Lawd.
Also, I'm really starting to feel bad for poor Kevin Bacon. I know he's getting paid handsomely and all but even he must be recognizing how much his talent is being squandered on this, right?

I would be fine with David saying that this show is beneath him.

I feel bad for James Purefoy who is a very talented actor two. I am still hoping either he gets killed off this season or the show gets cancelled so he can go to Game of Thrones.

 Re: The Following
Just hours after I complained about The Following not being as unintentionally funny as it used to be, "Fly Away" proved me wrong. That went beyond "unintentionally funny" and veered straight into "mind-blowing, comedic absurdity."
The wacky shenanigans between Joe/Emma/Mandy vs. Lily and her "children" deserved a laugh track. Also hilarious? Ryan talking to Dying Stabbed Girl, running down the stairs to chase Joe and then missing him, then running BACK to point a gun in Dying Stabbed Girl's face (!) asking where he went, then just leaving her there.
Oh, and...
"I've had enough of you and your International House of Psychos!"

 Re: The Following
Last night's episode. I thought I was watching The Wicker Man remake with Nic Cage with all that stupid cult shit. And then Emma getting tied to some structure and having her wrists slit for some reason? I kept expecting her to start shouting "THE BEES! THE BEES! NO, NOT THE BEES!"
Having an 8 year old boy referring to the mutilated victims of his serial killer father as "whores" made me deeply uncomfortable. This show, when it's not hilarious, is despicable.
Kevin Bacon continues to phone it in harder than any actor in the history of television. The only character in this show who resembles a real person in any way, shape or form is Max. And even she barely qualifies, but at least Jessica Stroup seems to be trying to give a performance.

I quit following 'The Following' last season. Based on reactions to this season, looks like it was a good move.
