I wish lol
No seriously, I've been predicting it for the past couple of weeks. I mean, how could she not sing it? After she first performed it, the track zoomed up to #25 on the iTunes chart -- which is impressive for an 18 year old song.
Plus, who here isn't still listening to their idolmedia bootleg copy?

Yes, it was her best performance. I hope she sing it.

I would simply love to see Carrie win, but I'm pretty sure Bo will probably end up winning, regardless of how he performs tonight. Oh well.

Carrie deserves it more, I think, but I see Bo winning, even if his first two performances tonight sucked.

Pimping Bo? Eh?
Yeah. That's why on the recaps they took the worst part of each one of his songs. And, with Carrie's? The best.
I don't care who wins. Carrie will win only because her appeal hits more demographics.

Performance 1
1. Carrie
2. Bo
Performance 2
1. Bo
2. Carrie
Performance 3
1. Carrie
2. Bo
I thought they were pretty much deadlocked tonight. I thought Bo was a shoo-in at first, but Simon's comment to Carrie may help her out a lot. Either way, hats off to both of them.

1st Performance
Bo: B
Carrie: B+
2nd Performance
Bo: B+
Carrie: B+
3rd Performance
Bo: A-
Carrie: A
I think Carrie deserves to win, but Bo is too popular so he's easily going to win. I knew that even before tonight. So I don't have my hopes up.

Carrie: B+
Song #3

Ugh, I hate how Paula isn't trying at all to hide the fact that she wants Bo to win. I really hope Carrie can pull it off because she was the best tonight and the best overall this season.

Just the same way that Simon hasn't been hiding the fact he wants Carrie to win. And he's been vocal about it all season - not just tonight like Paula with Bo.

Paula has acted that way all season too...with both Bo and Constantine. I actually thought Simon was objective tonight with his comments.

Paula acts that way with everyone. Every song someone sings she tells them how they're a "true star" and how she loves them and is rooting for them. No one even pays attention to her anymore. She's just there to be there. Simon might have been objective tonight, but he isn't usually like that. He's been pimping Carrie to win all season. Not even halfway through the season, he told her she would win and "sell more records than any idol." And when she's had bad nights, he'd make comments about how it's not totally her fault, that the band was off and the music arrangement was horrible. Atleast Paula gushes over everyone. Simon has been voting for Carrie since the beginning. Even off the show, whenever he's interviewed, he says how Carrie deserves to win and will win. That's not being hiding the fact he wants Carrie to win.
Not trying to pick a fight here, just saying. Can't get mad at Paula for something Simon has been doing all season.

Well, I guess it helps that I agree with Simon. That's probably why I don't notice it as much with him. Plus, I think he's the only sane judge there is. Paula is extremely wacky, you're right, and I don't think anybody listens to her. And Randy is just Randy.

did anyone notice paula like throw her hands up in a cheer when simon said that Bo had carrie beat on that performance?(or was a better vocal...somethiung)
I thought that was shitty....and I dont think its obvious simon wants carrie to win...
I mean have you all not noticed the pimping of BO? It happens every year...rueben...fantasia...now bo
I HOPE CARRIE CAN WIN THOUGH!

I think Bo is great, and I think this match-up is far more interesting than last year's silly Fantasia vs. Diana, but I'm rooting for Carrie. Add her last song to my list in the favorite performance thread. That was amazing.

Ahaha, are you freakin' kidding me? Simon has been pimping Carrie ALL season. Not even HALFWAY through the season he told the whole world on American Idol how "Not only will Carrie win, she will go on to sell more records than any other Idol." Everytime Carrie has an off night, he coems up with an excuse about how the "music arrangement was dreadful" or "appalling" or he'll just skip talking her vocals all together and make fun of her outfit or her hair. Not to mention on every interview he's done since the unveiling of the final two, he said how Carrie should and would win. He's been rooting for Carrie like crazy all season, not even just tonight or in the past few days. I know you like Carrie, which probably blinds you a bit, but it's clear as day who Simon wants to win.
Do I want Carrie to win? No. She's bland and boring. Sure, she can hit those notes, but there is no emotion, no spark in her singing. She doesn't pull you into the song. She doesn't add anything of her own into it. She just stands on one spot on the stage, sways back and forth and hits her hip and calls that a performance. Bo manages to jump around the stage, run behind the judges onto the lifter, walk across the judges desk, and pull off a great performance AND great vocals. Now that's a performer. He has emotion and feeling in his performances, PLUS great vocal ability. And, I think he has more versatility compared to Carrie who is more country based and doesn't sound the greatest in other genres.
Does it really MATTER who wins? No, because BOTH of them will get record contracts, as well as half the others in the top 12. So really, all they're competing for is the title, which doesnt mean much. Clay lost, and he's mroe succesful than Ruben.

I don't know how they do it, but they manage to find a crappier winners song each year. Inside My Heaven? I believe that was crap. Then Angels Brought Me Here? Well if it's good enough for Aus. Idol then it's good enough for us was their mentality. I seriously expect All This Time to be next year's song.
Performance 1
Bo: C+
Carrie: B
Performance 2
Bo: B+
Carrie: B+
Performance 3
Bo: B+
Carrie: A-
I totally didn't expect Simon to 'declare' a tie after round 2, took me completely by surprise . Bo will most likely win, but I would rather have Carrie take the crown.

Yeah nothing says hard rocker like wanting to be the earth that holds you or even "minutes turn to days and years, if mountains fall I'll still be here". Rock on Bo. Rock on. He should have added a yeah yeah yeah for good measure.

Well said!
I like Bo the best, so I'm almost hoping Carrie wins... I'm not sure it would be good for Bo's image to be forced to record one of those sappy gooey crapfest songs. Let Carrie take the bullet!

I think the two of them were pretty even tonight up until the final performance, where Carrie clearly outperformed Bo by killing the song that Bo only managed to sing decently. But yeah, those two songs are pretty bad and you just had to know that Bo wasn't exactly impressed with them. Two well deserved finalists nonetheless and I would be happy with either winning (really they're both going to get what they wanted; record deals, so whatever). I will stick to my prediction of Carrie making it through each round without ever being in the bottom 3 and finishing first just to show how much she mirrors Kelly Clarkson.

If history has taught us anything it is that the white man just can't catch a break on AI. Carrie will win.
