Performance 1
1. Carrie
2. Bo
3. Vonzell
4. Anthony
Performance 2
1. Vonzell
2. Bo
3. Anthony
4. Carrie
Overall, Anthony actually put up a pretty decent fight and outdid Carrie in a performance of the same song. Her arrangement just...blew.

1st Performance
Carrie: A-
Bo: B-
Vonzell: C+ (first time she has sounded nervous in weeks. Clearly she's not having a good day.)
Anthony: B
2nd Performance
Carrie: B
Bo: B+
Vonzell: A (She's baaaaaack! Woo! What a comeback.)
Anthony: B
OVERALL
Carrie
Bo
Vonzell
Anthony
Vonzell is safe in my opinion. Her amazing comeback second performance solidified that, combined with the sympathy votes she is going to get from the pressure and the crying, no doubt. And I'm glad if she stays, because she is a fabulous performer and singer, and to see her go because of one off song would be horrible, for me personally. And like Paula said, Vonzell chooses songs that are FAR harder than any other contestant. The rest are playing it safe, while she's trying to actually go somewhere, and doing fabulous at the same time.
I give Anthony an A for effort tonight. Two not quite amazing, but strong performances nonetheless. He's not that far behind, and I'm so glad he's in the top 4 instead of Scott. Unfortunately I think, and hope, he's gone this week, since he is still the weakest link. (Hey, anybody remember that show? "You ARE the weakest link. Goodbye." I miss that show...)
Bo's second performance was strong, but I felt it was a poor song choice. Still, good performance. His first performance was bleh.
Carrie is great as usual. I don't think her second performance was nearly as bad as the judges tried to make it out to be, and her first performance was fabulous anyways.
Still, in the end, it is either Vonzell or Anthony going, and I hope it's Anthony.
PEACE, Mike

I thought that was a very weak night of singing. No one really impressed me tonight, and the night was filled with some dull songs.
First Performance
1. Carrie
2. Vonzell
3. Bo
4. Anthony
Second Performance
1. Vonzell
2. Carrie
3. Bo
4. Anthony
No one was really good, Vonzell would be the closest to that, and no one was really awful, it was all one big pile of meh. Bo is probably going to win this thing, but I can't get excited over that.

Her second performance was pretty dang bad. It's the first time there's been nothing decent about it. Even the note at the end was pitchy. She looked better for the second one, though
1st Performance
Carrie - B+
Bo - C
Vonzell - C+
Anthony - B
2nd Performance
Carrie - D
Bo - B+
Vonzell - A+
Anthony - B+
Regardless of how Anthony sings, there's always, always something wrong. He's like Anwar. His style never changes. He always sounds the same...He just wasn't as pitchy this week and he seemed to put a little more emotion into both songs.
Vonzell's second performance is, imo, the best since Carrie's "Alone"
Anthony went last, but, who else would go? I guess Bo...please, allah, don't. [-o<

Undeserved bashing of Carrie's second performance by the judges, made even more glaring after they failed to trash Vonzell's terrible first song (complete with her screwing up on the words). It's a trend I've been noticing, especially with Paula who loves any shitty performance she sees, that they find something to nitpick about Carrie. Perhaps it's because they know she is very good and should be pushing herself more .
Anyway, Carrie was the best tonight with Bo following closely behind on the strength of his second song (first was kinda boring). Vonzell did OK with her second tune, but by no means was it great and I hope people can look past that breakdown of hers and not give her a sympathy vote for that nonsense. Anthony was better than usual, which means he was merely Fair/Ok.
Vonzell will go tomorrow.

AMERICAN IDOL
Vonzell has always been my favorite from the beginning. It would be great to see her win instead of the overrated Carrie (who was horrible tonight) and Bo. She has real talent and a lot of stage presence. Plus, she seems to be a very sweet person.
Tonight on stage she sang a country song first and it wasn't her best, and she got really emotional about it. The judges knew that something was wrong beforehand, since Paula asked "How are you doing? Are you OK?" and Vonzell replied "I had a rough day." They tried to be leniant on her because she was literally bawling. This led me to believe something happened, so I went online to research, and I've heard two stories that sound like they could possibly be true.
The first is that her 12-year old Yorkshire Terrier was hit by a car and killed this morning.
The other is that something happened to an 11-year old cancer patient who was a huge fan of Vonzell's and flew up to meet her a few weeks back. The two became close friends and talked on the phone often.
I really hope everything is OK. She looked so depressed tonight. It made me feel bad
America truly is heartless and can't sense real talent if she goes home tomorrow.

My overall grade for each contestant:
Jesus/Caveman/Bo: B, Not his best, but he's heads and tails above the others in my book. At least he looks alive on the stage.
Vonzell: C+, I hate it when the contestants cry, or do other things that gain them sympathy votes. Her first performance was bad, her second was good.
Carrie: D+, I thought this was her worst night in a long time. When she is off, she bores me more than any contestant in Idol history. She makes me long for John Stevens to show up and liven things up with a few dance moves.
Anthony: D-, I seriously think I got 12 cavaties listening to him tonight. His songs are just SO sugary and corny. He didn't do anything technically wrong, but let's just say he is so uptight and vanilla he makes Carrie look exciting and dirty.
Vonzell's little breakdown will ensure her a spot in the top 3. So, it'll be between Anthony and Carrie for who is going home... and I'll lean toward Anthony.

I honestly hope Carrie goes, she jsut bores me, at least with Anthony i have some emotion. With carrie I find myself not caring if I even see her sing. I thought her second performance, meh, but I thought eveyrone was meh, and her second performance was bad. It sad when ANothony outdoes you on a song, and he did.

I'm not sure I can take the throat hole one more week. That thing breathes on it's own. It really disgusts me. Combine that with those sugary bubble gum songs and the total package repulses me. At least Carrie is semi-pleasing to the eye.

Speaking of old Red, did you see he was in the audiance tonight? It brings back old memories of Red singing Crocadile Rock or Mandy. =D> =D> I miss that guy. Anyway...
For tonight, Carrie was at her absolute worst. As someone else has said, I think she is way overrated and if there is one person who I don't want to win, it's her. She is just so plain and boring to me. Maybe she should drink before the show to at least try and loosen up. Vonzell will get the sympathy vote for her outburst and one of my firends heard that she lost a close relative today, not sure if that means her dog or somebody else. Bo's first performance pretty muched sucked but it was saved by his amazing version of the Trump theme song. Anthony was actually pretty good this week, plus he went last which no performer in Idol history has ever been voted off when performing last.
So the bottom two I think will be Carrie and Anthony with Carrie going home, I hope.

I would never advocate drug use, but perhaps Carrie should consider smoking crack with Bo before the show. I'm just saying...

Maybe you guys are on crack, because Carrie sounded downright saucy on her first cut. Sure her second number fell flat, but she's still far and away the most marketable singer in the competition.
Bo and Vonzell had a split night as well, but the good definately outweighed the bad for them. Vonzell's rendition of "Don't Leave Me This Way" was well below the original and she clipped A LOT of the notes, but overall it was very good. Bo clearly has the most stage presence, and he showed it in his second number -- which was brilliant. The crowd's reaction after he finished was validation enough. To me, he's the most deserving to inheret Fantasia's crown.
I never thought I'd say this, but Anthony actually managed to out-sing Carrie with the SAME FREAKIN' SONG! Simon's remark that he has no soul when he sings was right on the money though. It's like he's some musical robot that's programed to hit all the right notes (although there are a few kinks to be worked out  ). He comes off strident every week.

Vonzell was not breaking down for sympathy votes.
A good friend of hers just died. A breakdown is not really all that common. She probably wasn't up to singing, then realized she screwed up which led to a breakdown. Rumor has it her dog was also hit by a car this morning as well. So, she was probably pretty out of the game or wanted to be today. It's why her first performance was so off key and why Simon was especially easy on her. Not something he would do normally which is the hint that something was up.

I agree with these choices. Carrie did a great job on her first song. Simon liked it. I wasn't sure. She's a country girl.
Bo is just good and will be picked up no matter if he wins or not. People love him.
Vonzell made a comeback with her second song.
Anthony is suited to singing for Disney World and the like.

I don't think he said Vonzell was breaking down for sympathy votes. Her breaking down WOULD gain her sympathy votes.
